I really hope Rahane scores big today, Rohit is all but guaranteed his opening spot so Rahane needs to show he can get the big scores in order to keep Dhawan out.

Dhawan needs to be dropped from the WC squad altogether, this guy just isn't gonna cut it. Rohit and Rahane as openers, Kohli back at 3 and Binny @ 4 instead of Rayudu. Would give us 6 bowling options and 2 spinners among them.
Been saying drop Dhawan for ages. He just doesn't have the temperament to start slow and play himself in. Too fidgety and needs to feel bat on ball, ends up nicking off. I actually think he's fine technically, it's just that he can't apply himself in tough conditions.

Binny is a handy player but he is a weak link in this side. He looks like he is punching above his weight in every game. Love his attitude and spirit but he just isn't good enough to either bat in the Top 7 or bowl 10 overs, and we have no space for a bits-and-pieces allrounder in this side.

The part-time spin of Raina Rohit and Rayudu will not be of much help here in these conditions.

I think the best XI we can go with will be:

Rohit
Rahane
Rayudu
Kohli
Raina
Ashwin
MSD
Jadeja
Bhuvi
doesn't matter

Ashwin is a good enough batsman to play in the Top 6. Send him in early and let MSD and Jadeja hang around for the slog. Maybe even send him in at 5 and hold Raina back too.

Kohli at 4 works for me, because Rayudu needs time to play himself in, and in these conditions you risk one of the Top 3 nicking off cheaply anyways. Don't want Kohli walking in early in every game.

2 spinners despite the conditions because they are the best ODI bowlers we have ATM. 5 pure bowlers in total because we can't get away with 10 overs for filth and we don't have a UV style allrounder to balance the side.

I want Haze to bowl that bouncer that cuts back sharply into the batsman. looked scary when he did that in the test series

I don't rate Binny's bowling but I think you are underrating his batting a fair bit, Rayudu isn't that much better as a batsmen than Binny tbh. I appreciate Rayudu's effort, but the guy just isn't convincing enough for me, limited shot selection (his hitting shots are mostly down the track hits) and average defense. It's a really big ask for him to be at 3. Virat Kohli is an exceptional player as well, the two new balls rule has been there for 3 years at least and that hasn't stopped him from scoring runs, I feel he is good enough to bat against the best, what he does need to do is sort out his "i'm going to bat out of my crease to negate swing" tactic. He's thrown away his wickets because him batting outside his crease is giving him less time to play deliveries on the rise. Either of Binny or Ashwin @ 4 I don't mind provided it is done to maximize bowling options.

Jadeja @ 7 is a must purely from a batting perspective, really hope he's fully fit batting and bowling wise.

Won't be too critical considering he was asked to accelerate, but this shot highlights Rayudu's limitations. Just doesn't have enough options when it comes to scoring boundaries.
