Has there been any progess in cracking the fixtures.
It would nice if we could edit the fixtures (international only offcourse) so you can play more matches in a year.
Also, I was thinking that if you could indeed crack the fixtures, then it might be possible to add world cups every 4 years.
That would be awesome. :D
It look's like a bit of a long shot at this stage the .fxt files look well... you have a look at them and tell me if you understand anything lol.

I think the fixture info is in the CrickMan.dll.
I opened it in visual studio, it seems to have some kind of information. Maybe the expert hackers could make more sense of it than me...

The 9 in the 4C 91 of your unknown is bowling ability.
Back on page 8 Neil(?) posted something like

1/9 competent bowling
through to A, B, C, D, E presummably not as good

Re: More Magpie

Superb Neil

It's looking great.

Will you eventually be able to incorporate the DOS part into Magpie so that it automatically encrpyts and decrypts when you open and close a file?

Do you know if its possible to change the colours the teams wear in one day matches? I've always been annoyed by NZ still wearing blue...

The shortcut didn't work for me either, but I used these steps sucessfully.

1. convdb -d dataP.db dataP.db1 (from command line )
2. start magpie and open. Do editing and save.
3. convdb -e dataP.db1 dataP.db

Might have mistyped something so make backup :P

I had problems using XP on my laptop but resolved the problem by using the browse button and getting the complete file name. Go to start run and type the whole file name starting with "C:\...\convdb" -d etc or alternatively use the browse button to find the file.

I didn't have this problem when I did it on my PC which only has Windows Millenium.

Hope this helps

Has anyone been able to crack player abilities totally? Is there any methid behind it or does increasing the value result in a higher ability with nothing more to it?

All we know is posted, however it's a far from exact science due to the fact that we can't be sure how and whether it's changed or not.
