OK, nationalities cracked.

20 Australian
30 English
40 Indian
50 New Zealand
60 Pakistani
70 South African
80 Sri Lankan
90 West Indian
A0 Zimbabwean

I don't think we will need any other nationalities. Bangladesh are not in the game, after all. I am not even sure if they exist.

You guys are doing a great job.
I have couple of things to ask
first is are we in a stage to bulit scearios . If so i would definitely like it
to be in the editor . How i would love to have scenarios like pakistan vs india coming up
second is can u advance the year in which game begins . it is probable in the exe but probably
not because the scerarios have their own years.
Continue the good work

Meh, I didn't do them as they are so pathetic, and I wasn't sure who would want to edit them.

I mucked around with N Warren, changing his batting prefs and giving him maximum batting ability. Something's gone wrong tho. I can't select him, he's away on permanent international duty! Cwazy.
The same thing happened when I did that with James Middlebrook.

Tayyab - I don't think either are possible as things stand - that data will (most likely) all be built into the fixtures file - and we haven't managed to decrypt/understand that yet.

Someone work out 00, 10, C0, E0 and F0 will you? :)

Nationalities

Other Nationalities are:

00 - No Country
10 - Namibia
C0 - Kenya
E0 - Canada
F0 - Holland

Thats the lots I think

However, there is another element. The squads are made by the program checking the bottom of the file - as to which playerID plays for which club. This starts at hex offset BAB1F, with the Sussex squad:

Code:
01 00 11 00 14 00 74 00 75 00 88 00 90 00 B7 00 [b]C7 00[/b] D5 00 02 01 0E 01 0F 01 14 01 2B 01 36 01 45 01 4B 01 6A 01 76 01 A1 01 CA 01 CC 01
Cottey's ID in bold.

The fifth offset control the number of players in the team (a hex number, i.e. 14 players in hex = 1*16 + 4*1 = 20 players in decimal). The players' IDs of the team are then listed, meaning that if you want to add a player to a squad, you may do so. However, you have to edit the fifth offset so that it detects the new number of players.

After Sussex, there is a gap until you again find an offset with 01 00 - that's Surrey (BABE1) - and so on down to Derbyshire, which ends with Lian Wharton at BB52C.
I looked at Surrey and unless I have the wrong place (possible) the fifth offset is 6E. Isn't this 110 in normal numbers? Are you sure this refers to the number of players the team has

I found the problem

Surrey starts at BABDF - two offsets back from where you said. This makes the number in the squad 14 in hex. so 20 in the squad.

Ah right :)

6E (and 00, I assume) would then be the first bloke in the squad.

Thanks for the help with nationalities - would also appreciate it if you could figure out ethnicity (black or white player - Mark Butcher and Tatenda Taibu look different from Marcus Trescothick, but how?)

A couple of requests for the team to try and make my coding life a bit easier:

1) Does the order of players in DataT affect anything?
2) What's the encoding and structure of DataP?

Cheers :)

Back on page 4 this post shows three offsets unaccounted for between their contract and FC Career (in black). Do we know what these do? are they a set of references for the game to know where the stats start?

Any one know what the 6 offsets after the salary do?

Those three are a set of offsets to tell the game which stats follow. F0 means all four types of career stats and F8 all four last year stats. 02 is standard.

Don't know about the post-salary offsets.

Looking at the 2 offsets after the salary here are some stats.
Salary ? ?

Wates ------- 2A 2A 20
Gough ------- ** 31 28
Evans ------- ** 31 28
Sharma ------ ** 36 2C
Treschotick -- ** 4A 3C
Gough ------- ** 40 2C
Di Venuto ---- ** 45 32
Fairbrother --- 41 45 39
Singh -------- 4C 54 47
Thorpe ------- ** 56 40
McKenzie ----- 51 56 48
Warne ------- ** 5D 4A
Masimula ----- 53 5F 50
Mushtaq ------ 62 62 4A
Ilott ---------- ** 63 4F
Waugh ------- 6B 6B 49
Waugh ------- 6E 6E 4F
Hick ---------- ** 75 55
Lehmann ----- ** 79 58
Tendulkar ---- ** 84 64
** I didn't take down (sorry)

There seems to be some correlation between the three columns.

I don't know if this is helpful - some of you better people might be able to find the significence.

What do you think?

Future salary - when you try to sign the bloke again? Alternatively, could be top and bottom possible salaries, depending on performance...

I'll test this out tomorrow or the day after - I'm getting the full game then! (YAY!)

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
I cant understand most of the hexes n stuff u guys chat about here but I cant wait to play ICC with Bengal and earn the right to captain India with the editor. Thats what I have always wanted to do with ICC.. Even if it doesnt come true.. changing even minor aspects through the editor will be great. So keep the hard work going .. way to go!!
