Punter already on the defensive. 3rd slip out to extra.
Shame he, like most every captain at the current time, doesn't realise that third-man is one of the most important positions, especially to the lower-order.

I'd have opened with Hilf instead of Siddle this morning. One good inswinger should be enough for the lefties.

Hmm, bit worried Jimmeh's playing too many shots, reckon he's be told not to hang about but he's trying to cut balls on leg stump (the cut or push through the offside being pretty much his only attacking shot)

By definition though that doesn't happen all that often. Much more often good bowling does well against batsmen. Mostly when batsmen do well it's against bad bowling.

And BTW for me milking average bowling to deep-set fields is no more or less boring than rubbish bowling being smashed for lots of boundaries.
Agree that does happen more often.
Well the second part depends whether your teams batting or bowling.

Bowled off the pads now. Though it was Broad not "Jimmeh".

Haha, Midge just can't help picking up wickets right now. Deceived Broad and all but geez, bit unlucky.

Shame. Slower ball again?
Slower-ball didn't really have much to do with it though, it was one of those that hit the bottom of the thigh-pad and came off the line of the stumps onto them.

Contrary to Bumble's assertion, it doesn't happen "often" - I've seen it happen 3 times in the last 11 years.
