I had it on my ipad (was watching the Portsmouth game on TV) so wasn't paying that close attention. I've only just realised that he effectively started with 5 centre backs! There have been some strange investment decisions in the last year or so and the squad now looks so imbalanced.
Away from their best centre=backs, they look less composed and definitely less comfortable in possession, their decision not to replace Alvarez last summer was nuts, and they have an ageing midfield with Gundogan coming back seeming very strange too, resulting with a midfield with even less gas and quite often overrun.

Of course, it would a lot less drastic if Rodri hadn't got injured, but even so, it looks like poor planning to say the least.

Ref has already lost control at Goodison.

There's a red card coming. Luck of the draw who gets it
Just the 3 in the end then. I don't know why Oliver gets big games anymore, he's clearly not up to it. I don't even think it was that hard a game to ref, VAR dealt with the tough ones.

Fair result though, Everton deserved a draw (at least) and Goodison got the perfect send off (utter carnage really). I don't think it dents Liverpool's title hopes really, I suspect the gap by May will be significantly more than 7 points.

I thought it was 4 with Slop's assistant also getting carded?

Hate seeing us lose but in those circumstances I can stomach it. We're still sitting pretty and that was a fitting end to the Grand Old Lady.

Those scenes at the end are why we love football.

If Salah doesn't win the Balon D'or there will be riots. Build him his statue too

Dragusin supposedly out with Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury, so that Spurs defense still looks very light on backup with only one defensive signing. Guess we'll see more midfielders playing in defense then!
Villa now in the situation where the midfielders we've had playing in defence are getting injured too.

Ollie Watkins isn't far off playing centre back.

Alexis Mac Allister. Quickly becoming one of my favourite players ever.

He's diminutive so doesn't really have much 'physicality' but he's impossible not to notice. What I love the most is he's got the South American mongrel in him. He's not afraid to leave a boot in and get stuck in to tackles, once he's got his opponent beat he will then turn on the flair.

On technical ability alone, he can hold a candle to any midfielder I've seen at the club. I am adamant he would have solved nearly every problem Man City currently have in their midfield if they signed him, he is that versatile.

Don't think he will be at LFC for much longer. He's got Barcelona written all over him.
