It's been dire hasn't it. Never easy when you put a team out who've only really played together in bibs against a spirited team at home who are well used to each other.

After the Leicester result earlier too it's nice to see another underdog get up against a big side. The magic is is alive and well.
I'm a bit disappointed Slot didn't take it seriously. FA cup is a comp I'm always keen for us to win.
Guess its time to roll out the Arsenal excuse that we didn't need the extra fixtures anyway

I always want us to win the FA Cup but genuinely relieved/not arsed this year. We're already in a cup final and have 5 league matches in 15 days coming up. @Skipper Pup mate don't you think we should take everton game seriously. Apart from being derby rivals toffees are in superb form since moyes took over and game at goodison could real challenge

Look at the players we didn't even bother sending - Virgil, Konate, Alisson, Grav, Macca, Gakpo, Salah, Szobo, Bradley, Robertson. 10 starters for the Everton game right there.
None of those guys you mentioned are defensive players and Gomez went off in the 11th minute. I get the whole banter for losing to Plymouth thing but reality is Slot showed how little he cared with the team selection. He had Jones (as one of only two senior players) on the bench and didn't want to use him.
I don't agree with the approach but its clear his priorities are elsewhere.
Not sure I ever said we shouldn't take Everton seriously?

Just watched the City v Madrid game. May as well have been in the NBA with the amount of shots in that game.
City just don't seem to have the fitness/stamina to go 90min. They were right in that game until the substitutions.
Once Madrid scored the equalizer you could see the City heads drop and the late winner was a formality.

I had it on my ipad (was watching the Portsmouth game on TV) so wasn't paying that close attention. I've only just realised that he effectively started with 5 centre backs! There have been some strange investment decisions in the last year or so and the squad now looks so imbalanced.
