Complete non-starter. Those with aspirations aren't going to vote for four less teams in the Championship, and small clubs aren't going to vote for being in the 5th tier.

It's not necessarily down to big clubs stockpiling hundreds of players though. You take a top young player at Barcelona or Bayern Munich and they'll generally spend their latter teenage years playing competitive games for the B team against other clubs. They'll get up to 50 or 60 first team games at a lower level whilst still fully reaping the benefits of the facilities, coaches etc at their clubs. Top youngsters at Arsenal or Chelsea will generally be playing meaningless U18 or reserve fixtures.
Harry Kane seemed to develop okay by just going out on loan, and he was able to do so to clubs at a higher level than he'd be playing if Spurs had a B team in League One

Haha yeah 5 down from the Championship every year would be madness. I do actually think a 20 team Championship would raise the standard, also might stop teams resting players in the cups (although I would rather just scrap the League cup) but understand the revenue thing for lower league clubs.

This League 3 proposal is interesting, not sure if in favour. Could be our passage back in if we **** up the next few years mind
Can't see it, can you see a chairman of a lower league team voting for 4 less home games a season?

If it happens there will have to be a huge payout of tv money to the lower teams to make up the shortfall.

The jury is still pretty out on B teams helping players/big clubs anyway. From a recent Honigstein article. https://www.redbulletin.com/uk/en/sports/the-rise-and-fall-of-martin-odegaard

One influential official at a club that regularly plays in the Champions League privately believes that second teams don’t help develop young professionals at all. He calls them “talent destruction machines.” They are seen as a negatively charged environment where players don’t play with, but against each other in competition for contracts.
I doubt we'll see them come in, there's basically no fan call for it and loads against it.

The Ornacle has confirmed it. He's at Colney today. First player I've identified and scouted for the club, what a moment.

Unless I missed it it looks like tomorrow could be Carricks last United game. Not sure why they haven't offered an extension. Still the most consistent CM at the club despite his drop off. An extension gives the club options and no downside.

Weird comparison. His win percentage at Liverpool is also better than Jurgen Klopp's win percentage at Liverpool.

Edit: Tbh I would've liked him to get the England job after the Euros.
