Szczesny can come smoke crack in the Liverpool showers for all I care. Mignolet already acting like he under the influence.

Would love to have Toral permanently. Think the loan will do him an awful lot of good but a problem for players of his level is what happens after the loan. More likely than not another loan. It is much better for a players like him to actually sign for a side like ours, and I don't just say that out of self interest.

lol, I rate Szczesny over Mignolet, but he definitely looked like he'd stopped his new years antics at 2:59pm v Southampton.

Do you think he's good enough for Arsenal or will be any time soon? I tend to agree about the usual path for players like him. Usually a few years before a permanent sale or no new contract.

Well he is not quite first choice for us at the moment, although I suspect he will be come the end of the season. Then when you factor in the position he plays in then it is very hard to see him becoming a first team player in the next 2 or 3 years. I don't really think the player in that situation is best served sticking around, and likely going through another couple of loans.

I would say he is just about the highest level of player we could seriously think about getting on a permanent basis, think we thought we had a chance with Pritchard but Spurs seem to have made it clear that is not going to happen, which is why we went for Macleod.

Good signing, but doesn't bridge the immediate problem you guys have with the ANC and all. Wonder if there'll be another striker to go to City, even if only a short term deal.

We have a couple knocking about our reserves that you can probably have for free

Valdes to Utd confirmed then. What to make of that? Seems odd he'd want to come and fight (and probably come 2nd) for a place at a team not in Europe when he could walk into other teams starting lineup and play in CL/Europa. And if he was happy to settle, why wait until January to sign when he's been here for months....

Please let me just be panicking a bit...

De Gea has gone, lets face it you are a selling club now, and he's too good for you ATM with you being the new Arsenal. Mind you I don't know what that makes Arsenal, the new Spurs?.

Yeah that'd be my interpretation too. It's a crap signing in any case. Valdes was never a brilliant keeper even in Spain and he's totally unsuited to the Premiership.

Nah, were a buying club, we are throwing away millions on mediocrity in the hope of nabbing 4th. We are the new Spurs thank you.
