Spurs would be so stupid to sell to Utd. If they're resigned to losing him, they may as well just flog him to Madrid, even for a lesser amount.

As for Arsenal and Mata, pigs might fly. But of course I would be all for such a move.

Setting myself up here but this whole Bale to Man Utd thing screams total BS generated by Tottenham in an attempt to get another few quid out of Real to me.

United might have registered some sort of vague interest but does anyone seriously see Bale going to United?

Thing is, if he goes to Spurs or Arsenal he doesn't have to move etc.

I'd love him to come to Arsenal, and while I don't think his type of player is desperately needed, his quality would do nothing but good things.

After the midweek result Arsenal should become more attractive. Mourinho doesn't seem to rate Mata and a move across London could suit the player.

Moyes has apparently denied it just now. Though a pointless bid for a player we won't get would be very much in keeping with this summer's transfer "strategy".

We were inches from signing Mata before he signed for Chelsea anyway. He'd definitely consider it IMO.

Flatmate and I had it on Sky plus and then sat through the whole thing.

Totally, utterly, soul-destroyingly, mind-numbingly, awful. Was there even a shot on target worthy of the name?

I am actually significantly more interested in the Vuelta a Espana than this rubbish. I'm also looking forward more to spending tomorrow doing some industrial-sized spreadsheets ahead of the new school year than I am viewing whatever tripe passes for the next live game I'll try to watch.

Looks like Ozil and Di Maria to Arsenal are both very much on the cards. I think I might do a backflip if this comes true.
