There's been a lot of talk about the quality of players United will be able to attract this summer etc etc but lets say Moyes gets the sack and Wenger walks away, if you're a top manager which club would you rather take over?
I know I am not an impartial observer here but United are on a completely different plane to Arsenal IMO.

Us currently being **** makes it look more attractive in some ways, I reckon.

One thing about Klopp is that he's a bit like Moyes in that he doesn't have a great deal of experience with large budgets. Most of his best signings have been really cheap. Don't know how he'd handle such a huge amount of cash.
Would probably just try and buy what's left at Dortmund tbh, which wouldn't exactly be a bad idea.

Yeah Klopp to Barcelona makes very little sense, he would suit Man Utd so much better. It better not happen.

Klopp's a clever manager though and under him Dortmund have become one of the most analytics-dependent sides in Europe; essentially one of football's closest things to moneyball. There might be a bedding in period but I don't think he'd waste the money at all, I certainly don't imagine he'd spend £27m on a lump like Fellani.

Would increase their chances of getting Reus though, you'd have to think.

The other thing with Klopp is as Cabinet pointed out, he's only just signed a long contract extension. Think he is unlikely sadly, all things considered, but he definitely tops my wishlist.

I kind of agree but at the same time it's a ****ing tough job and being the one to have to drag them out of the mire to the levels repeatedly achieved by SAF is a tough ask which many won't be up to.

Think Arsenal after Wenger has to be one of the most attractive jobs though - foundations of a bloody good side, long term financial security is assured, there's cash to be spent and there's minimal pressure from the board.

What are the odds on them going for/getting Diego Simeone?
Watching the odds is quite fun. Giggs has come in quite a way. Quieroz at 11/2.

Shortest for Simeone is 16/1 along with Hiddink, Conte, Guardiola, Ancelotti aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Martinez

The flip side of this though is the chance to go down in history to have saved/resurrected/whatever a massive club.

I remember when Ronaldo left us for Real Madrid there were noises that Real not being very good at the time only made it more attractive to him for roughly that reason.

I reckon us being out of the CL will be a bigger problem regarding attracting players than it will be for attracting a manager personally, but we will see.

Not the worst idea either actually, though as with LVG I can think of definite drawbacks. We could do worse though. SAF has publicly admitted that he was a massive influence when he was assistant.

You have to wonder why they didn't do this months ago when it was already apparent he wasn't up for it. I mean, did we really learn anything that we didn't know before then? It could have possibly saved them in the CL.

Anyway, I reckon they should go for Hodgson

Always said Moyes was the "inbetweener" for a proper manager. Now means the new guy only has to do better than finish 7th, all gravy.
