Impressive that the dressing room has stuck with him until now - I mean with the amount of players who have come out and said they're leaving or want to leave and the fact its patently obvious he hasn't a clue what he's doing; I thought they'd have given up a long while ago.

No, please no, it not only means we're bereft of fun, but his apologists will just be able to say he hasn't been giving enough time.

There's been a lot of talk about the quality of players United will be able to attract this summer etc etc but lets say Moyes gets the sack and Wenger walks away, if you're a top manager which club would you rather take over?

Depends how much money either side is willing to spend. If you had say an extra £50m- £100m to spend at United you may back yourself to turn them into title contenders sooner than Arsenal.

United is still a very attractive job for most managers. Regardless of a bit of short term Moyes destruction.
I am aware, hence why I was asking them or us and not asking what they'd pick between United and the Spuds job :p

On that note, I'd pay an awful lot of money to see Sherwood at United.

Awful shame if true.

Who do you United fans want then? Do they have any chance of Klopp because he really would be the obvious one. Be interested to see if they go someone with a lot of experience or do they follow the Liverpool and Everton example? If so then Pochettino is the one that stands out, think he is the only current Premier League manager that is a realistic option.

Yeah, and this is the point one-year out of the Champions League isn't doing that much harm, which is why we right-minded people wanted Moyes reign to last a few years, and really damage the brand.

1/10 on Moyes to be the next manager sacked. Shortest odds on replacements have LVG at 3/1, SAF and Klopp at 6/1, Giggs at 7s.

It really is sad news.

Klopp signed a contract extension only a few months ago, invited the English press and made a statement in English and all. Don't think he's going. Laurent Blanc or Van Gaal would be the obvious ones wouldn't they?

Van Gaal is the obvious one for sure. He could be good which would be a shame but he might fall out with everyone (Rooney) which would be superb.

In entirely unrelated news, it is approaching 3pm, Bees are playing, and for the first time in about 2 years the result does not matter in the slightest. Brilliant.

Might be why they are getting rid of Moyes now as Spurs were sniffing after Van Gaal weren't they.

There's nothing left for them to play for this season, so might as well give themselves an extra month to pick a successor.

Klopp is the obvious choice but then I'm pretty sure he leads every club's wishlist, including Barcelona as I saw he topped a Barcelona fans' poll as to their choice of successor the other day. I still think he doesn't seem a Barcelona sort of appointment though.

LVG is obviously another option, and definitely not the worst. Would prefer Klopp as LVG has definite downsides, but he does at least have a record of winning things, and plays attractive football.

Basically anyone better than Moyes really.

Couldn't be happier with this news, the reports seem pretty legit, and judging from the odds movements someone knows something.

EDIT:MEN Sport ‏@MENSports 17m
BREAKING: Manchester United refuse to deny reports that David Moyes is to be sacked as manager. More soon

That sounds like he is definitely gone tbh.

One thing about Klopp is that he's a bit like Moyes in that he doesn't have a great deal of experience with large budgets. Most of his best signings have been really cheap. Don't know how he'd handle such a huge amount of cash.
