Hope this is true, but not convinced yet.

As for replacements Klopp would be top of the list, but his style of play to be adapted to this United squad will require lot of surgery. Not that he is available anyway.

Other than that dunno..

Always said Moyes was the "inbetweener" for a proper manager. Now means the new guy only has to do better than finish 7th, all gravy.
Yeah, for a new manager now expectations are even lower. Money is still there and United give more time and control than other clubs has been tested.

Squad isn't that bad as it is made out either.

Congratulations to Burnley, brilliant effort if you compare their resources to other clubs in the Championship.

Moyes linked to Spurs, Sherwood linked to Newcastle.

Only logical step is for United to employ Pardew.

One thing about Klopp is that he's a bit like Moyes in that he doesn't have a great deal of experience with large budgets. Most of his best signings have been really cheap. Don't know how he'd handle such a huge amount of cash.
Don't see how that's relevant. He's a good coach who improves his players.

And unlike Moyes, he's repeatedly created trophy-challenging teams with limited resources, and creating trophy-challenging teams with less limited resources can only be easier.

I'm beginning to wonder whether my Schadenfreude about all this is biting me on the bum visa-vis real football, and that karma nonsense. Yet I still can't help deriving joy, there's a United fan on another forum arguing that last years United team would have done worse than 7th even under fergie, because everyone is so much better. It's really odd.

The only concern with Klopp if he's available would be the squad would require major restructuring to fit into his style of high intensity game.

Not sure even Carrick, RVP, Mata and likes will fit into that type of game unless he can create special dispensation for them etc....

I think he'd find he would need to be fairly adaptable regarding style. But I'm happy to give him a couple of years because the reward would be such a spectacular team. The best possible scenario with Moyes was only ever a more successful version of his painfully dull Everton sides.

The squad needs major restructuring anyway...
