I think our squad is too big not to be playing in Europe at all. I'm just worried that the team's above-expectations performance over two legs will save Moyes his job. I don't even think the games reflect particularly well on him. His tactics were fine up until he ****ed up the subs at 1-0/1-1, but it's also made his decision to offer Rooney 350k and build the team around him looks like rank incompetence.

Will always have that Evra goal though, holy ****, haven't celebrated a goal that much in years. Also, get in Atletico.

Not sure what draw I want. Atletico-Chelsea would be a dull tie, but it gives Atleti their best chance of winning the trophy. But then it also gives Chelsea their best chance at the trophy.

I think Bayern might prefer Madrid out of the three, much better tactical match-up for them. I don't know if I can be bothered with Mourinho vs. Pep again.

No I really did not want Mourinho v Guardiola or even worse Chelsea v Barcelona again so at least the second has been avoided.

I would really enjoy Real beating Chelsea, then Atletico to get past Bayern and then a Madrid derby final.

Disagree, Atleti would be who Chelsea would want to avoid. Mourinho will be quite happy to park the bus against Bayern or Real and counter them. Won't work against Atleti.

So Coward Webb doesn't give the big decision and Moyes makes crap substitutions, some things never change no matter what competition it is.

Atletico are underrated to a ridiculous extent at the moment. Checked the Betfair prices before the game on the market to qualify, and Barcelona were actually favourites. How can anyone possibly think that? Sure Barcelona were a very realistic chance to go through obviously, but hypothetically supposing Liverpool played Man City in a two-legged tie with away goals and drew 1-1 away in the first leg, there is absolutely 0% chance that Man City would be seen as being favourites to qualify. (EDIT: Look at the prices for the Liverpool vs City match this Sunday for evidence.) Seeing as Liverpool and Atletico have their similarities in the sense that they are both new kids on the block as far as being top sides in their respective leagues, why are people so much slower to rate Atletico as Barca/Real's equal than they are to rate Liverpool as City and Chelsea's equal? Why does no-one rate Atletco still? The most stupid pricing I saw was the one before the draw for the quarter finals which made Atletico 7th favourites, ahead of only us.

Wonder what odds they had for reaching the semi's back in August.

In fairness to the bookies, they were without arguably their two best players tonight in Costa and Turan. But they've got just enough depth to get by, I think getting Diego on deadline day was a wonderful bit of business for them, and it was incredible the amount of energy they managed to get given how much the players have played this year.

I think the average £ just tends to be a few months out of date. Liverpool were insane value earlier in the season too, 3/1 away at Spurs in December. Southampton were generally great value the season before. I think there's money in quickly spotting when a team is much better or worse than they were the previous season.

I think Atleti were such insane value here because it's not just that they'd improved this year, Barca have got worse.

Bookmakers just decide their odds depending on how players are rated in the FIFA and Football Manager games I reckon.

Or they listen to the opinions of the MOTD pundits.

So nervous, still days away. Is it fair to say that this is one of the most important games for Liverpool in Premier League history?
