My brain just shouted the name "Eirik Bakke" at me.

I think it's my subconscious' way of telling me that it's fed up of lying around doing nothing, functioning broadly on PDT, then spending nights filling black bin bags with rubbish and sorting out all the piles of debris scattered around my flat.

I spent half an hour this afternoon with three sacks of cricket balls and a pair of scales.

At first glace looked innocous, with a lot of rolling about for no reason. However replay shows its on the high side with studs showing - personally I don't think it was that bad a tackle to warrent a red (wasn't a full on leg breaker), but the rules state it is so can't defend it.

Talking of can't defend, **** me when will Smalling win a header on a cross. Or pick up a man, or not gawp at the ball.


If Moyes hasn't signed a midfielder by the weekend, were screwed. We are so lifeless there. Cleverley is an attacking midfielder who can't attack. Valencia is a winger who can't cross. Kagawa can't play from the left (no play central in a 4 man midfield). Anderson can't play football.

Fletcher was our best player, picked his passes and moved the ball forward. Shows when he went to right back we had a midfield of Januzaj/Cleverley/Kagawa/Welbeck and Swansea could basically walk the ball to our box each time.

Whilst Hernandez didn't have a great game, he was lucky Buttner was putting the ball in - he's a striker that needs service in the box to be effective, but it doesn't come at all from our starting midfield. We basically pass it to the 18 yard line, put it wide, put it back, put it wide, then either lose it in the middle or shank a 'cross'/ball into the box. We give defending teams more time than they need to organize their defences.

Were just so painful to watch at the moment.

WHY???? I mean he's taken a job that he's in no way remotely cut out for, he's been staggeringly lucky to get it, he's been paid millions, when he gets sacked he'll get a nice compensation package, and go back to the level he belongs.

Fortunate beyond belief, particularly as he seems to have bo idea what flair football is about, so I know it's funny to watch this, but blimey some of the matches make you think your watching Stoke. Just hideous. Much of today their only threat was from set-pieces.
