There did seem to be slightly more reason to Ferguson's rotation though. I've yet to get my head around much of Moyes' rotation on the other hand.
Yeah that's exactly it. Ferguson knew which options to use when, in a way that Moyes clearly doesn't. For Ferguson it was a case of picking the right man for the job, Moyes just picks some players sometimes and other players other times, seemingly at random.

What's annoying me now is the idea that we can fix the season by signing more players in January. Fans always talk about that but has it every actually happened? A top ten club makes a January signing and immediately steps up to the next level? I can't think of a single time it has.

The problem is partly RVP's fitness but mostly just Moyes. There's no obvious replacement so we sort of just have to hope he gets better. But if they do miss out on the top four he'll surely go.

TBF RvP's fitness over the last two or three years has been atypical; always been a sicknote waiting to be signed before and likely to be more so again now he's into his 30s.

Top four looking a long way off too.

Ha, 3-2 Stoke. Not often I cheer them, but needs must...

I do love it when Chelsea lose. Though it's getting near the stage when I'm going to have to start cheering on any of Liverpool's title rivals.

Well I said earlier in the season, and I was a bit poo-poohed, that RVP had a bit of an injury last year, and Fergie totally rested him until he was fully fit. Moyes has tried to keep on playing him, and he's not looked the same footballer. It shows a lack of faith in your squad, and doesn't help your best player. Taggart was brilliant at that. Oh and people can say Robin got the winner against Arsenal whilst not being fully fit, but at what cost. Long season, management is about *ahem* managing that.

Such a great round of games that! Going to be difficult times for us during the rest of the month, so very happy to be 2nd going into it. :)

Sakho in particular was immense, hope he gets a good run now.

Yeah you have a wretched run away coming up. Should find out if you are genuine title contenders by end of the year though.

Haha, appreciate the sentiment, but we already know we're definitely not. Just want that Champions League spot so bad, need it to keep Luis at the very least.

I hate to agree with one of GFs obsessions, but Spurs really aren't any good are they?

Ahh, not great timing but still stand by it. Another decent match in a pretty good week for Prem football.

Yeah, thanks for that.

Mackems have looked all kinds of white wee-wee second half tho.
