Can't we all just agree to piss ourselves laughing at Scottish football instead?

Even the League of Ireland's managed to get to the Europa League group stage...

Not sure what I think of Bellamy back to Liverpool. Will be weird. Hasn't looked great in his last few games. But gotta wub.

Will liven up the golfing trips if nothing else.

Nah, if Citeh spring for a portion of his salary (£92k pw I read) I can see the logic. Your squad looks very light on strikers after Carroll & Suarez. Is Bellamy a better player than N'Gog? Yes, IMHO.

Meanwhile, Bolton up in arms about our "derisory" bid for Cahill. Least we're trying, I suppose.

Wenger bid 6 million + add ons for Cahill after Liverpool had 12 million + N'gog rejected earlier?

Owen coyle: "the word derisory doesn't even cover it. When I make an offer for a player, I'd like to think in the right ball park, but this wasn't even close"

Wenger probably thinks he is living in 2001.

Wenger probably thinks he's trying to nab a 16 year old French kid from Le Harve.

Exactly.

Arsene's bid for Cahill was just bizarre.

And Barton joins QPR. Yes.

How is 6 mill taking the piss though? People throwing about the Nasri comparison but honestly this situation is far closer to the Clichy transfer than that one. Even then Gael had more caps for France, years of Champions League experience and playing for a top team.

Even given the English premium no-one else is in for him right now so there's no bidding war to be had. Can see them caving for 9-12 million in the end. 17 million is truly taking the piss for Gary Cahill.

BARNES OUT
I can see us ending up paying the 17m for him. I wouldn't be too unhappy about it, we always have to pay over the odds and he's certainly better than Lescott.

Jono is a better footballer than Agyemang. Baffles me that Warnock would start with him while Bothroyd and Helguson are on the bench. Deserved loss. Interestingly, they've conceeded six goals this season and four of them have been deflected in. Spare.

Blackburn vs Everton was ridiculous. Blackburn fail with two penalties and Everton get one at the end for no reason at all, which Arteta nails, Everton 1-0. Rovers could've saved themselves some trouble if they could finish...

Carroll (rightly) starting on the bench. Henderson starting though, living on borrowed time though unless he can produce very soon.

Chav following drinking acquaintence of mine reckons Villas-Boas will be gone by Xmas.
Hope so, because I'd be backing him to come good given time. It's a hard situation to deal with because the weak links are former superstars whose games have regressed badly enough to ensure the team isn't really of a Championship-winning standard, but not so badly as to make it an easy decision to get rid of them. I'd say that applies (to differing extents) to Cole, Torres, Anelka, Malouda, Cech, Terry, Drogba and Lampard.
