Scholes went back at Nasri tbf and then everybody else in the vicinity. Can't stand the bastard.

I tell you, Wilshere is going to be the next Scholes. Love that guy so much.

I just can't not love Scholes despite all those horrendous tackles, he's just the kind of midfielder I watch football for. I don't believe for a moment that they're just innocent mistimed challenges either. :p

Got one of our works tickets for the game, thought Arsenal were playing against a lower league side for most of the first half. O'shea and Gibson, really threatening centre mid partnership. United were a lot better second half when they went 433 and got 9 men behind the ball as soon as Arsenal got it. Dissapointed in Van Persie tonight and not much inventivness in the final third for the gunners.

Doesn't change the fact that if the ref started showing cards there, each team would've been a man down. Think it was sensible reffing to just calm everyone down.

Was a typical Utd performance against Arsenal, let you attack and hit you hard on the break. Our centre midfield was absent, which is normal ATM, and usually without Rio we'd be scared witless playing like this, but Smalling was awesome, helped that the attacking 4 clicked beautifully too.

Its a tactic Fergie employs every time against Arsenal, and it seems to work lovely. Doesn't need a midfield, just good defenders and attacking line. Thank Christ thats where we arnt shocking!

Didn't look that massive a collision on the pitch, but obv seeing the medical help he needed....

I think a referee should be allowed to accept an injury subsitution for a team in that position (used all 3 tactically, clearly not faking injury), so long as the change is like for like. Always find it a shame when a team has to play with 10 men through no real fault of their own.

Hmmmm, interesting scenario when a 12% shareholder tweets asking the manager where our silverware is...

To be honest, I think you're giving us too much credit. We relied on Arsenal's profligacy in front of goal to a much larger extent than in the league game, where we didn't give them a sniff.

Deserved win though, quality performance at home again. Every time we have a run of away games the press start to underrate us, and every time we have a run of home games they overrate us. At the moment it seems like the excellent at home/ mediocre away combination will be enough to take the league but I'm starting to get a little concerned about Chelsea.

Given that I have been let down badly by ITV can anyone assist with a location on the Information Superhighway where I might be able to view the City/Reading game?

Any chance we could snap up that Parker/Hitzlesperger combo? West Ham seem to have developed the reverse of our policy of having quality in every position except central midfield.

Almunia makes a great save, Djourou makes a great block and they fall to Utd players. Meh, ritual surrender when it matters most. If we don't win the league then new manager is a must.

Not gonna happen but who do you want?

New manager isn't a must, the current one tweaking his philosophy somewhat and cutting the deadwood is.

Mad Jens coming home

From the BBC.

Lehmann coming out of retirement to help out our injury crisis. Bless his mental heart.

A bit surprised after the slightly shoddy way he was treated in his last season, but good on him.
