TBF they used to get 25K in league 1. Know quite a lot of citeh fans, and don't think I know any that fit the portrait painted above...though I still hate citeh ofc, just not as much as Manu...Mark Hughes only managed citeh

Seriously folks, try living in Manchester for a year, listening to 'True Blue' fans day in day out. From the 'Only one team in Manchester' lie (i do believe Old Trafford was the same distance, if not a bit closer, to the city centre than Maine Road was) that everyone else buys, the 'Best/most loyal supporters in the country' (those 4,000 who made it to League 1 games I guess)... How Mancini/Tevez/Wright-Phillips/Goater/Kinkladze will lead them to glory each year (League 1 play-off trophy counts I suppose), only to be slagging them off come February. And of course, how evil and corporate we were for having money for years, untill the Arabs made it OK for them to be rich.

They start off as annoying, in the end though, its quite fun to listen to City fans, watching them slowly self destruct over time.
In my experience they're also oddly really, really angry all the time.

Smitteh to respond

Yes, saw that now - it was the inclusion of the likes of Fletcher which made me question where it was from seeing as there was nothing on the web at the time and Rose had posted it.

Bit odd that the young player of the year was older than the player of the year as well...

Aye, Fletcher being in there doesn't seem quite right. Can't think of who should replace him though.

Well fat frank has scored 20 goals for the probable champions.....
Fair point, but if they're trying to make an actual team Cesc and him in the middle together might not be the best fit.

If they were just picking the best 4 midfielders tho I'd agree.

Yeah, actually I've no real problem with Fletcher, his energy and dynamism does have a massive affect on Man U, when he doesn't play he's missed. Whether that's because he's any good or whether he's just a catalyst, I dunno, but it's immaterial really.

Anyway did anyone see Woolnough yesterday on the Supplement say, with no irony whatsoever, that the PFA Award was being held this weekend, but the award that really mattered was the Sports-writers one. Self-important twonk, yeah bloated journos are much better to judge players, then the actual players themselves8-)

Didn't Giggs get the PFA POTS award last season? It would of been fine as a lifetime achievement thing, but player of the season?

Song or Palacios both have better shouts for me.
Hmm, not Song for me, haven't seen enough of Palacios to say. But when those are the other candidates you come up with, Fletcher's inclusion seems a lot less surprising than it does at first glance. I'd probably just have stuck Lamps in.

Palacios not been that great from what I know and Song or De Jong the only real candiddates along with Lampard.

Stick David Dunn or Lee Bowyer in there.

Citeh after special dispensation to sign a keeper on loan for rest of the season with Given and Taylor both out. From the BBC.

Be interesting to see who they go for.
Tempted to stick a Fiver on it being David James

1) Loved by City
2) Pompy would love to save some dough on his wages
3) playing for a 'massive' club in the run upto the World Cup.

Personally don't think they should be allowed, if they have a fit first choice keeper, should have to use him, only if he got crocked replace him. Unfair at this stage in the season they could sign someone potentially better than their 2nd and 3rd choice keepers. Lets face it, whoever they bring in will be good enough to start, not be a backup to what they have. Theres a difference between making sure you have 16 fit players and strengthening the squad.

Speaking from afar, all Man Citeh fans I know in NZ are good ****s, while all Man U fans I know in NZ are bandwagonning twerps who are thoroughly dislikeable human beings even without accounting for their poor taste in EPL teams.
