Eduardo ban is an absolute joke. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a court case by seasons end, unless UEFA are going to ban everyone who dives, which i can't see happening
Aye, if ref had've called it at the time it'd have been a yellow at worst. Why is the ref missing it worth two games? Mind-blowing.

And Dunne is still a City player, come onnnn.

I must have missed Hull selling Turner to Sunderland. **** Bruce has done some seriously awesome business down there, they're a darky for Europa League IMO.
Michael Turner is a very good player. Saw him play for Brentford a few years ago, was a class above, was so obvious he would make a step up at some point in his career.

You'd have to imagine Arsenal are consulting their soliticors as we speak, it is completely ridiculous. Dermot Gallacher was on SSN saying that he would have to be caught doing that in six CL games to earn a two match ban (I didn't realise it was 3 yellows for a 1-match ban in Europe) so it's obviously disproportionate. The thing is, UEFA obviously want to send a message, fans have been against diving for years but the consensus is that this is a joke. There's no case for a ban, zero.

If a player handballs it outside the box next week and the ref doesn't call it, are we gonna see a two-match ban for the player that gets away with it? As it is the same; cheating.

If UEFA argue that they are setting a precedent what then?
Would have a nightmare upholding it, I mean, though I don't neccesarily agree with the Rooney example, if something similar were to happen then this would arguably be challengeable.

Then the CDMs will soon be forced into picking British players because they'll have bugger all else left available.

Oh and cowardly thug will be perpetually suspended as well of course, along with the homo erectus at Manure.

I suppose they'd have to make "simulation" a straight red that carries a two-game ban. Wouldn't have a huge issue if they did personally, unless the precedent is just for offences the ref misses, in which case the whole thing is bollox.

It'll be an unmitigated disaster. One of the most braindead decisions in the history of football. Let's ban the FA from punishing someone who tried to kill his opponent because the ref gave him a yellow, but FMD let's get over zealous and be seen to make a stand when someone takes a tumble. Bunch of ****s 8-)

(I know I'm repeating myself but it's really irritated me)

Yeah, I've long said that diving should be a straight red (IMO diving to try and win a penalty is pretty much the same as a handball on the line or a last-man foul) but the fact is that it isn't and UEFA have pulled a bollocks punishment out of their arse. Any word from the gooners about whether there will be any action taken over this?

I have horrible memories of the time when Arsenal were playing at Anfield, and Van Bronkorst was taken out from behind, and was shown a red card for diving, absolutely appaling decision. Good job they won the game anyway.

Waiting for the detailed report to come through and then have three days to appeal, according to the BBC.

I thought there was no right of appeal in the CL.

Kneejerk reaction of the highest order. Think TT Boy called this last week though, fair play/

More annoyed that this means this boring argument will rumble on indefinitely (not talking about people here, just the media saturation), it's boring me to tears:cry:

Just as it was finally dying down, UEFA come up with this bizarre crap:wacko:

Uefa previously banned Lithuania's Saulius Mikoliunas for two games after the SFA lobbied for a review of video evidence of the penalty he won during a Euro 2008 qualifier at Hampden Park.
I didn't know this tbh. Why are the SFA so influential with the powers that be?
