BARNES OUT
Citeh have a ****load and Boro can afford the wages.
Uh, no.

Current fit strikers at the club:
Adebayor (injury history+ACON.)
Tevez
Bellamy (and honestly, how long will he be fit for?)
Benjani (ACON)

All our strikers on loan are un-recallable because their loans are longer than 93 days.

Do your cripples need a nice bloke to keep them company on the treatment table? I heard Tommy does great impressions. Great for keeping morale up.

Don't need to be fit.
wtf. We've got 5 first team strikers, of which 4 are fit and two others have injury histories. How the **** is that a "****load" of strikers? And what makes you think we'd loan any of them out?

Missed the boat on the Citeh "team of strikers" joke by about a month.

From Lambros, via text on 81111: "I'm a security guard at Highbury House and I just saw Blaise Matuidi enter with an entourage. He's apparently just had a medical and heading upstairs to sign his contract. You heard it here first."

I believe in Lambros tbh.

1414: Official on-the-record chat from Manchester City - and it involves Tottenham's David Bentley. They say, wait for it, they absolutely will not be signing the midfielder either on a permanent basis or a loan. Their business this transfer window, they say, is done and dusted. Apparently just over £200m on 13 new players is considered about enough to launch an assault on the Premier League's top-dogs.

YES

1411: Down in League Two,
Mansfield Town have signed 28-year-old striker Blair Sturrock
on a deal until the end of the season.

If only :(

1429: BBC Sport understands that West Ham will not be signing Marouane Chamakh. He has decided to stay at Bordeaux at least until the end of the Champions League group stages. There is still a chance he could move to Upton Park after that though. And the Hammers don't expect any more players to leave today, unless they receive a colossal offer. A few clubs have expressed interest in Matthew Upson, though none have made a firm offer for the England defender."

Ends the Chamakh rumour.

What other club do you know has five international strikers on their books? 8-)

So he is there in a Kevin-Prince Boateng capacity, i.e. will never play for the club again and will be sold ASAP.

1520: DONE DEAL: Rangers have completed the signing of left-winger Jerome Rothen from Paris St Germain on a one-year loan deal.

Now if they can sign 10 other players that are remotely anywhere near approaching Champions League quality...
