Yeah me too, VDF hasn't at all reached his potential, his form has been patchy to say the least and he is another one who suffers big time with injuries, I can't imagine he would do a great deal better than the youngsters already at Arsenal's disposal anyway tbh.
Yep, on another note though am really looking forward to seeing what Arshavin can do in Europe for us. His performances for Zenit and Russia are generally outstanding there. So hoping that he can be the missing ingredient with regards to making us contenders in the Champions League.

For all the Arsenal supporters on here - What type of player would you want to see Wenger buy?

Personally, I reckon we need a tough-tackling defensive midfielder (mid to late 20's). Denilson may have improved but I am not entirely convinced he's suitable for that role.
Song's level of improvement has been alarming over the past season from the Olympics onwards. His performance against Everton was the best he's had in the shirt and shows us the effect of quality defensive performances can have on the team dynamic. Have no problem with him getting an extended run now.

That said he is going to Africa for 6 weeks or so this season and we're not exactly loaded with backups for him. Get an oldie who can step in and contribute and wouldn't mind being a rotated player in there imo.

Also defenders. Gallas and Djourou are both injury prone which means Silvestre will see plenty of game time this season if we sell Senderos. Wouldn't mind another right back in there too.

Yeah I have high expectations to. One major worry I have though, is that if he comes down with a nasty injury, which keeps him out for upto 2 months or more, than that is a major problem in my book. The team looks nowhere near as threatening when he isn't in it. I can't help but think an injury might be round the corner as well, as he really runs himself ragged every single match, and by the end of it looks absolutely worn out. Kind of get the feeling that if he tries to keep up that pace for the entire season injury and fatigue may catch up with him.

Yeah, these are more or less my thoughts on the issue as well. If no injuries/absences occured, I don't think any new signings would be neccesary, but that is obviously not going to happen, so a new centre back and ball winning midfielder would not go amiss.

It's sort of funny regarding Arshavin. Looking at him play he looks nothing like a typical Wenger player. Short, fat and usually out of breath after 75-80 minutes but boy he is an incredible footballer. Let'shope he can buck the trend his fitter and more athletic teamates have with picking up knocks.

His disclaimer makes no difference mind, he could say whatever he liked about the police force, or any other government body for that matter, including truly obscene things, and not be punished, not for defamation at any rate.
So where's the point between one individual police officer and the generic police entity? Like if you implied a handful of officers involved were racist, or a particular station or whatever there's presumably a point where it would be perfectly acceptable.

Would have thought it made sense to exclude certain accusations from this free-for-all anyway. Things like bringing up racism should be substantiated or retracted as far as I'm concerned.

I rahter expect it's rubbish to be honest, there has been no mention of it anywhere else, and I very much doubt he is the kind of player Arsenal would be interested in anyway.
Indeed. He has no pace. Wenger loves a midfielder (player) with a tank. Surprised he has kept Bendtner around...

If he had implied that one particular officer had been racist or whatever and singled him out then yes, this would be actionable for a case of defamation, but there you can't be found to have defamed the police force as a whole.

Yeah wasn't expecting there to be any truth to it because it's wiki, but sometimes it does surprise you :p

Terrible from Liverpool at the weekend, looks like we're heading for another season of drifting in and out of the champions league spots in the table.

It's actually been about quite a bit, tabloid talk over there. They may be rubbish most of the time but I reckon there's some truth to this one, just a feeling.

Duff to Fulham. Good acquisition IMO. Hodgson has really turned them into a pretty formidable mid-table team.

schuupsss Wenger is a ass..
Not really, when you consider the options available to him, there is no reason why Wiltshere should be selected ahead of several vastly more experienced players in what is an extremely crucial fixture.
