Yeah, poor decision. Not a pen, but even if it was no way a red.

Been embarrassing, tbh.
Definitely a red card if it's a pen, I know your lot are turd but I think in anyone's eyes, that's a goalscoring opportunity. :p

Wasn't Roseti considered the games best ref? Some sort of irony here then.

Either way, I'm clearly looking to SAF's post match rant :jerry:

Also what exactly *isn't* a goal scoring opportunity?
Any involving Shola Ameobi IIRC.

Well, we're there, absolutely gutted for Fletcher though, his contribution this season has been fantastic, and the guy deserves the shot, but like Scholes in 99, he'll just have to wait for next time. Roll on 2010 ;)

I get fed up watching Arsenal unable to defend for toffee nowadays. Is it really beyond Wenger to find a defence & keeper worthy of the name? Man Utd might be obnoxious to a man, but at least they know how to play in the first third of the field. Which will come in handy against Barca in a few weeks time.
One of the commentator's on ESPN said Arsene Wenger should stop trying to bring young player's on and then sell them on for profit and be prepared to splash some cash to get some silverware. I guess he is lucky he has a board that has such great faith in him. If he were managing in Italy or Spain or anywhere else on the continent he would of been sacked a few times by now.

Somehow now I have the feeling Wenger will sell Adebayor to Milan, considering every week he (Adebayor) must tell us how great they are. Just hurry up and sign for them.

Reckon Wenger will walk in the summer, had a look on his face today that he'd lost the love for the club.

Wenger's never getting sacked. Think how much money his "buy low, sell high" trading has got them.

Good win tonight, but Fletcher's sending off puts a downer on the whole match. I shouldn't be so pissed off after United make the CL final.

Giggs clearly taken to shaving the chest on a regular basis. If only he can show the Neviller how to use a razor properly.

Horrified, tbh. Another hirsute role model gone. In times of trouble I thought I'd always be able to count on Giggsy's full and luxuriant chest rug.

Good job I fell asleep watching Stargate: The Movie.

Not sure where Wenger goes from here. Arsenal needs a world class centre-half, dominant ball-winner midfield and top striker. Yet, buying proven quality players seems to be the polar opposite to his transfer policy (Arshavin being the anomaly in recent past).

Definitely wasn't a pen in the same way as the pen at OT last week wasn't a pen. Both players got the ball. And if they hadn't both should have been sent off (but they did). Fletcher will get his card rescinded imo (Don't know on what grounds he can according to the rules, but UEFA will do it somehow)

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has likened Milan's alleged interest in signing him to being coveted by pop star Beyonce.

Adebayor, 25, came close to leaving Arsenal for the Rossoneri last season but in August he signed a £80,000-a-week contract to stay at Ashburton Grove.

He admitted that the lure of the San Siro was hard to resist, comparing the club to the former Destiny's Child singer.

"I am happy playing for this club and to be honest I am happy Milan, one of the legendary clubs in the world, were looking at me," Adebayor told ESPN.

"For me that must be something special. It is like a boy being told Beyonce is looking for them.

"I am quite happy with that, but the most important thing is playing for Arsenal. I am very happy here so there is no reason for me moving."

The Togo striker has scored 16 goals in an injury-hit season and is expected to start against Manchester United in the midweek Champions League semi-final first-leg at Old Trafford.

He comes out with this the day before a Champions League semi. He acts the **** all last summer and we reward him with a new deal only for him to do jog around the pitch for a whole season and leave his arse hanging in the wind for a Milan and Barca to notice it in the summer. Please sell him Arsene, he doesn't give a **** anymore. The only time this season he played anywhere near as hard as he could was when the fans booed him at the start of the season.

EDIT: Forgot the most indefensible quotes he made:

“I often speak to Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani on the phone because he is very good at French as his wife is from Morocco,” Adebayor told Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

“Galliani may not be as ***y as Beyonce, but Milan are. They have won the Champions League on seven occasions whereas Arsenal have never won it.

“Last year I was very close to signing for the Rossoneri, but then I renewed my Arsenal contract until 2012.

“For now I just want to finish the season on a high, but then we will see. My agent Stephane Courbis is in London with his Italian associate Vincenzo Morabito and they are always working day and night.”
