BARNES OUT
Not sure where you've got the rumour about Grant being the favourite, I've heard nothing since the Eriksson rumours were addressed the other day - but I don't especially want Grant in charge. I don't think our players would respond to him.
It's pretty much everywhere. Every major football website I've gone to recently has him as the firm favourite.

Good manager imho.

Yeah, I think Grant would do well at Portsmouth, Barney. He did a hugely underrated job last season.

I do think he did a good job at Chelsea, and that he was very unfortunate to get the sack. However, I don't think he's exactly what we need right now. I'm not sure he's going to have the sort of presence that will bring together a fractured dressing room. We've got the players to stay up, we just need to get them playing together - if he can do that, I'm all for him, but I'm not convinced.

Having said that, we don't seem to have a huge number of alternatives.

Why don't you lobby for Ronnie Moore to get the job

Definitely planning on doing Griffin Park. My plan for remaining games of the season: Chester, Luton, Brentford, Lincoln, Rotherham.

League 2 kindly scheduling nearby aways with my free Saturdays.

Considering going myself, the trains aren't either ridiculously priced or stupidly timed, which is unusual.....

So how would this Beckham transfer work, because Milan dont hold his official registration and didnt by 1st Feb, so surely he shouldnt be allowed to arrive untill the summer?

Well... loans are still acceptable, so the loan could be extended to the end of the season, and then the agreement to be signed permanently can kick in after that. Perhaps.

Am pretty sure that it's legit for loans to be made permanent after the window has gone, in addition to that I know for a fact that Milan actually have him registered until the end of the season with the Italian geezers and UEFA, a 'just in case' approach if you will

Hey Pickup (or Pothas I suppose:unsure:), you thinking of going to the Brentford match on the eleventh of April?
I will probably be going to all the home games for the rest of the season, think Henry might be interested in that one as well.

Will make up my mind later in the week, certain things need to be sorted first. I'm willing to meet up, if I do go.:)

May PM Pickup at Exeweb, if I can go:)

Yeah, about Eduardo, good story, nice to see some good news in the depression that is the Prem.....

Or being owned by a certain Italian PM helps. Also another question for you: If the ball hits the strikers head and then his arm, but it is not intentional, and a goal is scored, there should be no reason why the goal should not be given, except for offside or a foul on the defender or goalie?
