Will probably get rewarded by Newcastle instead of sacked, too. Get made captain or an obscene pay rise or something.

'BANGOR CITY will play the first leg of their UEFA Cup first qualifying round tie with Midtjylland at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground.

As Bangor’s ground does not meet UEFA standards, the Danish club’s co-operation allowed them to confirm the July 17 leg for Wrexham – where they will also hope to attract a bigger crowd.'

Looks like i'm heading to the Racecourse in a couple of weeks to see Bangor get smashed by a half decent Danish side.

Pompey sign Ben Sahar on loan for six months. Hmm. So far our summer signings (Sahar and Glen Little on a free) aren't quite living up to expectations.

A month ago all the talk was of Mauro Zarate, Sidney Govou, Peter Crouch, even Andres D'Alessandro - now it's Chelsea youth players and journeyman wingers. Less than enthused, personally - best pull your finger out between now and September, 'Arry.

Went to the Racecourse in March to see Mansfield 1-1 Wrexham, wasn't a bad day out, although it's nice to be able to say that they were worse than us. The Racecourse is quite possibly the best stadium in the Conference these days.

Hehe it makes me so happy to hear you say that, I could only be happier if its rival for that title was the Deva.

You got something to say? Got something to bloody say??

Yeah, **** off mate!

Jo Signs for Manchester City

Good signing for Citeh, yeah?

According to Goal.com, the latest Liverpool bid for Barry is likely to be their last, and they're also suggesting that it's in all likelyhood going to be rejected.

Kewell set to join Roma as well, apparently.

According to the BBC Barry is disenchanted with Villa and seems keen on Liverpool. Kewell to Roma is very interesting. Will he stay fit for a season?

I reckon half his problem re: staying fit was that he wasn't playing regular football, if you get what I mean. If he is fit for a full season, he's still got the ability to turn a game on it's head for mine.

Benitez seemed to be keen on him when he got back to full fitness, though. He showed some glimpses of his ability, but was too inconsistent. Rafa really couldn't afford to play him more often than he did.

Try 20 games max. Thing about Kewell, even at his peak during his Leeds days he was inconsistent. He'd have one great game followed by a handful of anonymous ones and this would go on over and over.

Magnificent talent though, need him terribly for the Socceroos. Hopefully Serie A is the solution for him.

Yeah, won't disagree there, nor am I saying it's Benitez's fault in anyway, just that I think not playing regular football certainly didn't help his fitness. Perhaps a fresh start is indeed what he needs.

EDIT: Was mainly talking about 07/08 btw, not previous seasons.

Nicky Carle has also completed a 2m move from Bristol City, to Crystal Palace. Disappointed that he wasn't able to get a gig in the Premiership, but good to see he's still in England all the same. Palace likely to challenge for promotion this season?

Does Jô have a Portugese or Italian passport as well? If not how many caps does he have Brazil to get a Work Permit? I trust Hakon to correct me.

I foresee yet another Autumn of "it's our year" followed by yet another winter/spring "next year, after a couple of signings, will be our year".

Dire, Kewell to Galatasaray (sp?) according Fox & Goal. Can't understand the decision, unless of course it was his only real option.
