Like him or not, he's an institution. All of us have grown up with him as the voice of football. Glad he's still doing MOTD for the time being, but he'll be missed when World Cup 2010 comes around.

If I was Dabo I would have also sued Man City for failing to protect his safety at work.

Hopefully this spells the end of the top flight career for this Violent foul mouth excuse for a Human Being Barton. Howver there is no such thing as a moral agruement in the Premiership and some manager (just like Allerdyce) will think they will be getting a bargin when Newcastle try to offload him. Thus giving Barton a huge signing on fee and obscene salary.
