Can't believe Theo Whitmore is allowed anywhere near any sort of international side.

Jamaica should win the WC< they have the world's best defender

Shocked that Danny Guthrie hasn't had his ban extended tbh, as his lunge at Fagan was obviously a deliberate attempt to take him out and it resulted in Fagan suffering a broken leg, a three game ban is not adequete imo, very lucky boy indeed, ****.

Yea he had two big hacks at the player's leg as if he was trying to fell a tree.

Anyone with common sense would say it was more than a 3 game ban, but then it is the FA and they like having one size fits all to make things easy for them. Suspensions and whatnot in football are ridiculous, they're just so random and thoughtless. Yellow cards are given out for nothing, red cards are missed and then these ****-ups then count or fail to count to pointless suspensions for accumulated cards.

Out of interest how much is AIG's sponsorship worth to Manchester United? With AIG nearly going arse up the other day, I would of thought stuff like sponsorship is something they would of cut back on or scrapped. It wouldn't bother MU too much as getting a new shirt sponsor would not be the hardest thing in the world.

It's something like £56.5m p/year, but as you said, it's not like there aren't other companies who would like their logo on our shirt.

United last night were uninspiring... had most of the ball but didn't really do a huge amount with it.

Watched the Marseille - Liverpool game, I actually thought it was quite watchable, poor defending from both sides, Liverpool not really value for the win IMO, tbf Gerrard's goal was a bit good.

Not the best time to look for a sponsor though. Will probably have to take a little bit less.

Mind, they'll probably recoup it in three hours thanks to thirty billion Chinese wanting the new kit.

AWTA

Thought Ferdinand (I think) muffed an otherwise straightfoward chance from a corner early on for United (only saw Highlights tbf).

See Kewell nailed a goal for Galatasaray (y), was a decent finish, much like his one against Croatia on '06. It was quite unlike the finishing from the rest of his team by the look of it, Footytube highlights has their striker missing umpteen chances by trying to go straight through the keeper.

Very proud night for me last night. Thought it'd be a long time before I saw European football at Fratton Park, if ever. Great atmosphere, fantastic performance, 2-0 victory. Can't ask for more.

Oh, and FTR - Lassana Diarra is one of the country's best central midfielders. Will be a fixture in the France side for the next ten years, the kid has so much talent it's unbelievable. Every week we keep hold of him is a week we push our luck, he is quite simply too good for a mid-table Premiership side.
