*Official* English Football Season 2007-08

Think this is worst possible draw for Liverpool (think they would have had a better chance against Barcelona TBH) especially playing the first leg at Arsenal.

Reckon Roma might suprise Man Utd might put a few quid on it.

The English team I mind the least was yer Scousers, but not ideal still, obv.

It's possible we could win the thing & not have to play another foreign team with the way the draw's shaped up.

LOL...we use this system in work called the Portal, I was just showing two guys who have just had a promotion how to use it, and then asked them to upload a test page

One of them loaded this:

[We] are proud to let it be known that we will be receiving a client visit from Chris Greenacre on Tuesday 18th March.

Please dress respectfully and courtsey when he approaches your desk.

Thanks!

And people say brainwashing doesn't work...

 Brilliant. I've been trying to brainwash my pupils into supporting Pompey, but seeing as they're all French and most of them couldn't give two ****s about English football, it's not working.

Seem to remember a season where Wimbledon and Spurs ended up playing each other about 5/6 times.

EDIT: Just read the whole of that article, 'goal scored whilst norwegian keeper urinating'.

Except he was only with us for four and a half seasons. ;)

To my knowledge his record for us in competitive matches was 18 out of 20. He got his first 16 in a row, but missed his 17th and 19th, both in his final season with the club in 96/97. I don't think either of them was against Liverpool though - his first game back after the ban was indeed against them, but he famously scored the penalty that day which salvaged us a 2-2 draw.
I was doing off the memory of some Man Utd videos I possess somewhere at home which I haven't watched in probably 10 years. You're right about the timing of course, I had him down as 91/92 - 97/98 but was one year too long at either end I think.

With regards to the penalty miss, I remember him swinging on the poles behind the goal to celebrate in that Liverpool gane so you're right there too.

Ergh, I haven't a clue if I'm honest and I don't care enough to research it but thanks for the corrections. :)

Pretty much guaranteed an English finalist now...would be funny if its an Arsenal-Barca final and Arsenal win after the last few years

Interesting draw. Not a entirely bad draw for United, will be tougher than last year but should win by a 2 goal margin IMO.

He helped Leeds win the league in 92-92 tbh, so that will be why you are thinking that I guess

Whites FTW tomorrow V Hartlepool. Still bitter about my half-time ejection there in the 2005 play-offs tbh.
