You can see what they're doing. Why waste $30 million on Tevez and Mascherano, when they can broker a deal for them to go to West Ham on loan for a season to see if the can handle the Premiership style. If they do, then great...they'll cut a deal. If not, then they can move on to another European club.
There is no doubt IMO that Chelsea are having an influence on this deal.

You signed Carlos Salcido mind, whose a very underrated player not a RB of course but a very fine central defender.

yeh Salcido started at centre back against Twente and Reiziger was on the bench so we are pretty well covered there...

Ball was apparently fit and raring to go in the pre season but hes been pretty much non existent so far this season. I think the club is pretty keen to see Lamey play left back regardless of Michael Ball anyway...

Just saw him in the Champions League and the odd couple of minutes in Eurogoals. Seems to put himself about it and looks to have a good tank, should fit in well in the Premiership then.

Andy Cole not a bad signing also, I must be one of the only Rovers fan who actually liked him. Missed a lot of chances but he did score goals.

Personally I would see it as a bad move, when they could of kept Martins instead or met Fiorentina's demands and signed Luca Toni. Personally I would have offered them both Julio Cruz and David Pizarro in exchange for Toni.

Put it simply very bad move, he can still score goals no doubt but Inter don't need that at the moment. There need a pacy striker who can come on and cause problems not a fat tub of lard, no matter how good a finisher.

Jose Antonio Reyes will move to Real Madrid with Juilo Bapistia as a swap, thus freeing up a spot for a non-EU player (for some reason Bapistia hasn't got his Spanish passport yet, lazy bugger), then Adriano will go to Real Madrid, with you-know-who (Ronaldo if you don't know) will come back.
