Would Ronaldo deliver as much as some one else is a big question. If they get a quality striker to work in tandem with Ruud, I think they would do great. Else, get rid of Ronaldo and play with the 1 striker in front according to me.

McLaren only started Downing because Cole was injured - when Eriksson was in charge, he picked Cole to start because Cole's better.

The only reason that game was won at half time was because the Greek's didn't turn up at all in the first half. Against a decent team, we would've created at best one half chance or so in the 90 minutes.

Only you could have such a ridiculous vendetta against a manager who's been in charge for one game and in that game England were 4-0 up at half-time.

He'd be better than old man Hyypia in the centre but Liverpool should persist with Agger alongside Carragher and he would be behind Finnan on the right. Silly move for Lucas if it does go through.

England quickly beat who was put in front of them, that's all they can do. The vegetable would have picked anyone but Downing in that situation because the vegetable is too dumb to realise when he's completely stuffing up team England just so he can have the best individuals playing. He'd have picked Beckham on the right with Gerrard on the left and Lampard and Hargreaves in the middle.

They've changed the story since i looked at it earlier. Earlier it made it sound like it was a done deal.

I didn't give him criticism for winning 6-0 either nor did I give McClaren praise for the 4-0 victory. It was a meaningless practise game which don't really tell you anything about the team, only about the players. As long as a friendly is used properly then that's fine.
