But yeah the undisclosed information points to something else happening behind the scenes.
A very reliable source tells me that this is MSI's down-payment to buy West Ham in the summer of 2007.

lol yeah....while Andy joined Chelsea....what a strange world it is :p
Championship Manager always got it confused. Sees there's two Coles, so calls them both Cole, A. Same thing always happened with the R Keanes.

I'm disappointed to find out that we were in for Mascherano and Tevez too, but they didn't seem remotely open to joining us. To be honest I can't blame them, but it's never nice to be told you're not a big club, even if you already know it.

All in all, I'm very happy with all our transfer activity, aside from the fact that cult hero Svet Todorov has gone out on loan to Wigan. :(

MSI want to buy West Ham...that's the reason they're there now.

some interesting Transfers lately, the Tevez & Mascherano to West Ham obviously the most shocking. If the rumors of Cole/Gallas transfer has actually come off, i guess the most annoyed person in that deal would be Wayne Bridge.

It has, Ashley Cole is now a Chelsea player and William Gallas is now an Arsneal player. I expect a Scaly Piscine rant when he comes online...

So West Ham actually own the rights of the players, or is it MSI who has their rights, and have just "leased" them to West Ham?

Is your very reliable source a journalist or does he/she work for West Ham or in the FA?

This deal has opened up a whole can of worms. I mean, what happens if Tevez decides in 6 months that he wants out at West Ham. He was controlled to go there in the first place but what will MSI do if he becomes unhappy? because no doubt Tevez and Mascherano will want to play Champions League at some stage.

What would of happened if he said no? Would he have been sued? At the end of the day, unless MSI put a loaded shotgun to his head and had kidnapped his daughter and held her hostage, then you can't actually force him to go somewhere.

From David Hulott’s article- The breakdown is MSI (who Roman supposedly owns 15% of) own Tevez and Javier, MSI also ran Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (until 2009 or something). MSI leased the players to Corinthians to allow them to take over. During the summer both players left Corinthians for free and have now signed for West Ham and if MSI get an interest in West Ham, then effectively West Ham like Corinthians will become a feeder club for Chelsea. That is the theory.
I have quoted you on my blog. Hope you don't mind.

According to a British Brazilian journalist on Sky Sports News, it’s a lease with MSI paying the players wages. The Brazilian press and Sport Club Corinthians Paulista are also running with that story. MSI have giving the players to West Ham for a short period, a season or so then they will be sold on. As the journalist on SSN said, MSI investors are looking for a huge profit and West Ham even if MSI take over will not have these players for a long time because the only way MSI investors will make any money out of this deal is by selling them on. If that occurs West Ham like Leeds Utd with Mark Viduka, will not make more than a ‘dime’ out of the deal.
