That's simply ludicrous, I've seen John Terry dive at least four times this season.
Not disputing Terry's diving (I simply don't know if it's true or not), but I thought roseboy was talking about Ronaldo?

Just 'cos Terry's diving it doesn't necessarily follow Ronaldo is. Although, frankly, I'd find it hard to believe if he wasn't.

Of course but to say Ronaldo has not dived when Roseboy has seen him play is laughable, unless he has seen him play twenty seconds all year. I was merely mentioning Terry as an example which suggests everyone dives and they do, I don’t think it is erroneous to argue otherwise. It’s just a facet of contemporary football.

So sad Tim Cahill got injured in the Everton loss to Aston Villa, hopefully he can get better soon.

3rd-4th final at the WC. Was the first thing i saw that was remotely this season that wasn't vs England.

Brilliant. Love the way he looks at the referee too. I didn't see that match actually. I never watch 3rd v 4th :o

Shame about Cahill. Might be without Neill too who's got a hamstring strain. Hopefully we can put in good performance against Ghana though. Will be good to see us in action again.

Where is the match vs. Ghana being played??
Loftus Road, London - home of QPR.

I looked at going but when i found out about it, the best tickets it could find were shoved up high in the corners. There's another friendly at Loftus Road in February i'm led to believe so i'll probably go to that one.

I've seen Ronaldo dive once or twice this season, and have watched all but one of the games he's played in. He often stumbles and corrects his balance and keeps going lately. I know I'm a United fan, but I have to say, even I've been surprised by how little he's been diving... possibly had some strong words from Ferguson (or someone) about his antics and has been told to improve his sincerity in play since becoming public enemy #1 in England. Doesn't do as many stepovers as last season, either... although he still does them more than he probably should.

I won't believe any rumours about Beckham returning until it happens, and I won't believe any massive bids for midfielders outside of Owen Hargreaves until we buy a striker first.

Brilliance of Van Nistlerooy & Ronaldinho in La Liga last evening
Two of them were crackers too and not a good night for another ex-Man Utd player (although he was in the Osasuna goal) out there.

But Osasuna's goal was comical defending all four looked like they were standing around having a few beers at the pub then doing their job. I mean come on I'm sure it is taught at the junior levels when defending a corner you have man back on the goal-line behind the goal keeper just in case.

With Petr cech injured, Gigi Buffon in Serie B ATM could Iker Casillas claim to be the number 1 goalie in the world? Certainly 2nd for mine at least.

England have lost another five players ahead of the pointless game against Holland. Expect them (Holland) to win.

England squad:

Goalkeepers: Paul Robinson (Tottenham), Ben Foster (Man Utd)

Defenders: Phil Neville (Everton), Micah Richards (Man City), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), John Terry (Chelsea), Jamie Carragher (Liverpool), Wes Brown (Man Utd), Michael Dawson (Tottenham), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Wayne Bridge (Chelsea).

Midfield: Aaron Lennon (Tottenham), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Michael Carrick (Man Utd), Jermaine Jenas (Tottenham), Joe Cole (Chelsea).

Forwards: Wayne Rooney (Man Utd), Peter Crouch (Liverpool), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham), Andrew Johnson (Everton).

Holland squad:

Goalkeepers: Maarten Stekelenburg (Ajax), Henk Timmer (Feyenoord).

Defenders: Khalid Boulahrouz (Chelsea), Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Barcelona), Urby Emanuelson (Ajax), Kew Jaliens (AZ Alkmaar), Joris Mathijsen (Hamburg), Andre Ooijer (Blackburn Rovers).

Midfielders: Denny Landzaat (Wigan Athletic), Hedwiges Maduro (Ajax), David Mendes da Silva (AZ), Stijn Schaars (AZ), Wesley Sneijder (Ajax), Evander Sno (Celtic), Rafael van der Vaart (Hamburg).

Forwards: Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Ajax), Dirk Kuyt (Liverpool), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Arjen Robben (Chelsea), Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink (Celtic).

Is AZ's David Mendes da Silva of Brazilian origin (excuse my igorance)?

Who's that?, the only ex-Man Utd players playing in those two games other than Becks n Van Roi was Pique from Zaragoza i believe.

The FA should really cancel these meaningless mid-season friendlies, look at how many players have pulled out to date, but geez why did Mclers have to call back Richardson damn i would honestly rather see Etherington as back-up on the left than him. But as usual i'lll be watching from kick-off cursing away at the lads & hopefully we get a positive result in Amsterdam since defeat would not be good.

I reckon McClaren may start with:

Robinson

Carragher
Terry
Rio
A Cole

Gerrard
Lampard
Carrick
Joe

Rooney
Johnson

With Richards, SWP & Crouch/Bridge the likely subs
