ferdinand is no where near as good as terry imo, dont rate sol campbell either....gary neville is truly dire, woodgate isnt bad when fit but thats a rarity, carragher is very good imo.

john terry is one of the better fulbacks in the league however i think if you had sol campbell, ferdinand and terry it would be a great back 3 with whom ever you added, i think they are all very good, ferdinand is quality, and being a liverpool fan i rate jamie carragher aswell, he is quality...................

Terry isn't a full back though.

He is the best English Centre Back available and one of the top 2 or 3 in the world.

No way!!! Haven't seen a defender as assured and calm as him for a long time. Is as important as Rooney, should be a great season. Park ji sung certainly had plenty of gas tonight, hope the young uns can make an impact too.
Apparently he was one of your better players on the tour of Asia so I'm keeping a close eye on him (as I do for any player I hear is good or has been playing well).

Inter have a tough trip to Donetsk in the CL qualifiers - although at least it is an away game first up. Goal keeper Julio Cesar, Defender/s Walter Samuel and possibily Pierre Wome, new signing midfielder David Pizarro should also get a start. Mancini will have a tough choice to make with regards to his starting line-up.

With regards defending you really can't seperate Terry and Ferdinand. Both are strong, good in the air and very composed. I would say rio has the better feet though. However it is obvious that Terry pops up to score the odd goal whereas Rio doesn't. Apart from that trying to seperate them is a fruitless task IMO.

In terms of actualy defending, it's no contest.

Terry >>>>>>>>> Ferdinand.
Well i could have predicted that of you marc, not exactly the most objective when you come to analysing man utd defenders, or players in general, who all seem to be "manure" as you put it.

Of course it could be nothing to do with the fact I rate Terry far better defensively?

Ferdinand has great composure on the ball, but nowhere near Terry's presence.

The 2 as a pairing is good though.

Could well be, but i don't think it is as easy to seperate the two. Good call on the pairing point though, roll on Germany '06.

its more like Ferdinand>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Terry :p
Let's settle this reasonably.

Terry and Ferdinand both > Sol Campbell.

So I see Brazil right back Cicinho is linked with MU, he won't need a work permit because of his Italian background (what person from Brazil or Argentina doesn't have an Italian passport?) and is rated at around 8m pounds. If he joins then I hope for Buccs fans he turns out better then the recently departed Jose Kleberson.
