*Official* English Football Season 2005-06

Fair enough, as I say I've only seen it once.

One thing I've definitely seen more than once is the Spurs goal (though I haven't seen whether Davids was offside or not) and I've got absoilutely no idea what Wenger was going on about. They ran into each other and they weren't seriously hurt.

Wasn't worth a red card, but definitely a yellow. Was late & from behind. He may've been slightly unfortunate as refs often swallow it when it comes to second bookings, but happily not on this occasion.
It wasn't from behind. There was no mallice in it at all really, like I said. He was clearly just trying to win the ball fairly but he was never going to do it in time, the tackle warranted a yellow and he got it. It was just a bad decision to dive in.

I was in the pub, so I may've been mistaken. Watched two games straight after & had several beers so my memory may be bit blurred. :p

Well, one got up almost immediately, the other looked like he was getting up then went back to the deck (I presume he wasn't injured particularly - just took a bit of an impact). Personally I don't see anything wrong with playing on as Spurs did in that situation. I'll wait with interest to see if the FA throw the book at CDMs' chief for his post-match comments, or whether he gets off easily as he usually does.

At a moment a beer bottle was thrown when I posted that.Tyler said it too during commentary I think. Not sure which player it was at and if it is the same incident you are referring to.
A beer bottle was thrown by a Liverpool fan at Geremi....

To The Non-Reds!

We should have a Web-camera conference during the final so that when Liverpool wins the FA cup,I can see all your sorry faces...It'll be fun! Dont you think?

It wasn't and John "Chelsea fan" Motson neglected to mention it.

Dunno why the vegetable is bothering to watch West Ham v Middlesbrough, he'd never lower himself and pick a player from outside the big teams anyway.

Hope the Hammers hold out, Middlesbrough against Liverpool would be a boring final, and I think the Hammers have a better chance of beating Liverpool.

I'd love it if he went there too, because he'd look comparatively poor when surrounded by real top international class footballers.
So you'll consider Samuel Eto'o over-rated because hey he bottled it in the African Cup of Nations when he missed the crucial spot kick in the penalty shoot-out for Cameroon against the Ivory Coast, or when he let Wome take the spot kick in the WC qualifyer, or he missed a penalty against Real Betis earlier in the season?

There's no doubt being cool under pressure is an asset for a forward, although playing for his country is a bit different because that's almost life or death with the way some of their fans are.

Anyway with penalties you do get to choose which person takes them, so it's not too bad *after* you've missed a load and stopped taking them.

Shame to see Boro get beat. Not a fan but I like to see the north-east teams do well. Either way its Liverpools cup this year. Hammers in Europe then.....
