*Official* English Football Season 2005-06

Always - always - happy to see Chelsea lose. Liverpool being my second-fave team, more than happy for them to win the FA Cup, too... hopefully they'll do the goods.

Wonder what the odds are of Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal AND Liverpool all winning a different cup this season. Have the top four English sides ever won a cup each in a season before?

It's all fitting into place perfectly - Liverpool reach cup final, Liverpool rest key players in last game of season against Pompey, Pompey stay up. :D

Onya Scousers. :)

Mourinho "Every decision went against us."

Hm.

Oh hes got a point, certainly the decision to start with Ferreira and leave 3 world-class wingers on the bench went against them:laugh:

Didn't say those were the top four teams, just asked if it had been done before, since there's a chance they might end up being the top four. :)
No idea.

I know it's more than 30 years since my team won the league though.

Something is definitely wrong with me, I found myself cheering for the Scousers there in the clubhouse while I was freezing my nuts off in the first game of the season (yay!).

Small question - you support United don't you?

How can you support United and have Liverpool as your second team?!

Easy. I'm not English. :)

Manchester United are my favourite team because as far as I'm concerned, they are the equivalent of Auckland's rugby team. They play entertaining, attacking football and they're great to watch. If it weren't for Man U, I may have never really got into football at all, since most of the games I'd bothered watching before then were fairly boring by comparison.

Liverpool is my second team because my brother-in-law supports them, and I knew him before I moved to the UK (hence, before I watched football).

Fair enough. :)

Yes. Something seriously wrong with you. Go wash that mouth out.
Sorry, but Chelsea not doing the double can only be a good thing - even if it means the Scousers win something, I of course do hope they get a royal hammering in the final.

EDIT: Speeling.

I think the commentators on the BBC don't give enough credit to the other semi. They seemed to be thinking that whoever won today, was almost a shoo-in for winning the competition.

I would love to see a Liverpool v West Ham final as if West Ham turn up then it'd be a cracker. Plus I think Dean Ashton should be going to Deutschland so if he scored the winner then it'd help. :D

Last 15 minutes were pure Chelsea attacking...
Liverpool about a foot over the bar away from not winning - Joe Cole should have done a lot better with that.

Can't really see West Ham or Middlesborough beating Liverpool if Liverpool perform.

On a side note....the 4/1 bet on Liverpool paid off :D
