In the other huge game of the night Brentford have beat the Mk Dons 1-0 to give there promotion chances a massive boost. Come on the bees!!!
Always delighted to see Franchise FC lose - I was even glad the Florists beat them on Saturday.

I look forward to the day they drop out of the league, never to be heard of again - hopefully to be replaced by AFC Wimbledon (yes, I know, the latter is highly unlikely).

Remind everyone what his goals per game record is, despite getting plenty of chances virtually every game because he's the CDMs' only forward.
Isn't it still quite a bit better than Alan Shearer (and anyone else other than the goal-hanging horse) - and Henry actually makes one or two for other players too?

mhmm it's not that unlikely....think they're in the league below the conference atm?
and they get massive attendances considering so they have a fair bit of money compared to the other teams.....plus last i checked they even had a New Zealand international (Shane Smeltz)

the whole MK Dons thing was quite frankly ridiculous...

Almost as many as he scores in fact.

He also seems to miss far less then the horse does.

11 games without a goal Adriano?
I know :@ :(

Ever since his girlfriend left him to go back to Brazil (because she preferred the climate then in Italy where she was already living before they met) his mind is not where it should be.

I don't expect him to start against Villarreal. Well he doesn't deserve to anyway...

Juventus were completely and utterly destroyed. Great performance from the Gunners, awful one from Juve. Vieira was anonymous, Trezeguet was worse.

Fabregas, on the other hand, ran the game - yet again. The kid can play.
Bolter for Spain's World Cup Squad?

If he play's like that what he did against Juve then he is a chance. IMO I would take him.

Well the chief poseur added to his tally of 3 complete flops when having a good chance by 'hitting' a left-foot backpass early in the second half. He tried his hardest to botch up his second open goal opportunity but just managed to score this time. That game was so one-sided it's a miracle Juve are still in it, not to mention how it took Juve so long to get their first player sent off, for once it didn't even need a Reyes two and a half with pike or a Pires double somersault.
Tell me is he scores a hattrick against Brazil in the World Cup Final and will he have done something right or would it be that Brazil are instantley useless?

Can the guy do anything right.

Hate to admit it but has scored important goals against good teams. Where do you want me to start?

Shearer played for a team that were useless in the CL. The chief poseur plays for a team that was only useless when it hit the knockout rounds, now they've got a defense they're a bit better - unfortunately for them their sole forward doesn't quite cut it at that level yet, even tho he gets chance after chance after chance to score or create chances and fails miserably most of the time.

Chris Greenacre.....(i hope)...was amazing for Mansfield....then Stoke got him for free and he's been fairly average ever since i thought...
He had a bad time Stoke, but they often played him in midfield. At Tranmere he's been absolutely fantastic, we'd be down but for him, and were all gutted because last year all we needed to get us automatic promotin was a centre forward scoring regularly, this season the only played worth his wages has been Greenacre. If we build our team around him in the summer, we can do somethng useful again next season, but he should be playing in the Championship.

He scored his sixth good chance (his second open goal, which he still very nearly fluffed) against Juve, go on then list what else he's done on his nth chance for an important goal against a good team.

I'd take him, and I'd play him alongside Xavi in the centre. Baraja can go away. :p

What about a kid named Xabi, though?
I knew I'd forget someone!

Erm....now I'm stuck. I guess you'd have to play Xavi and Xabi, really, with Fabregas on the bench. Xabi Alonso's a superb player.

We (Mansfield) seem to manage to get hold of a forward every two years who should be playing in the championship...Lee Peacock, Chris Greenacre and now this season Richie Barker...no idea how we do it

He's French, so therefore nothing he does will be enough.

The moan about him not doing it in the big games is replaced by something else, then it'll be something else again.

Same as if England win the WC, he'll still hate Eriksson.

CDMs' chief poseur is below average when it comes to games against good teams or in the big games, or both. Of course he'll score the odd goal in those scenarios, just as Ashley Giles would take the odd wicket against Australia.

If England win the WC it will be despite the vegetable, not because of his gormless, timid and directionless management.
