That game between Tottenham and Blackburn today was a cracker!! Judging from that and their overall performance this season are done for in terms of CL next season because we know they won't win it.

The gaps still only 5 points, and Spurs still have to go to Highbury, so I wouldn't be writing anyone off yet.

Much as a Man U supporter I might be... Wigan dominated that game in a big way - United didn't win it so much as Wigan slipped and lost it.

But seriously, that game would have been so, so, so much better if it weren't for that bloody ref. God.

Actually I was pleased with the refereeing. The players knew that dissent would lead to a card and did not bother him. If only the ref at the chelsea game had done the same...

Everything lead to a bloody card. If refs didn't hand out cards for nothing, perhaps players would realise it doesn't pay to be such ****ing girls.

a certain referee will certainly have a real test on his hands 2mo night out in spain, i hope mourinho keeps his jibes to himself, and also i really hope messi comes up with a display that silences him.

Im pretty encouraged that Newcaslte can get a result at Old Trafford on saturday from what you are all saying. Hopefully will be able to dominate the midfeald

Midfield? What midfield? :p

Scott Parker + Belozoglu Emre = 2 midfielders

John O'Shea + Ryan Giggs = a centre-back and a winger

ManYoo have no central midfielders left! :-O

()

some top 2nd legs tommorow, i hope Barcelona beat Chelsea they always winning. Juve & Bremen should interesting seeing as Juve need to win 2-0 to go through & Villareal seemingly the form team in europe in the last couple of weaks should send the rangers packing even the the first leg was close.

But now that Man U are long gone i'm backing AC Milan to win the competition this year..

I concur...

Nothing would please me more than seeing Chelsea thrashed tomorrow night. Mourinho has been nothing short of an idiot this week.

That was a great game between Man Utd and Wigan. If you were a Man Utd fan I'm guessing you were screaming at the TV for Van Nistlerooy.

I would think someone would have to be pretty twisted or dense for anyone in this country to want Barcelona to knock Chelsea out. But then again a lot of football fans are somewhat dim anyway and why anyone would want to particularly support one particular group of partly English, mostly foreign mercenaries over another group of partly English, mostly foreign mercenaries is somewhat mystifying.

Not normal for me to go against an English team but Jose is so not on my "good list" this week. Arrogant Tw@!

Umm if Werder Bremen won the first leg 3-2, and Juventus have two away goals, shouldn't they need the one goal at home to go through on away goals?

Likewise a 0-0 draw is good enough for Inter when they take on Ajax next week.

Chelsea playing three wingers, with Robben as an attacking central midfielder - could prove another Mourinho masterstroke.

Rangers 1-0 up at Villareal as I speak! Outstanding stuff from the Jocks. :)
