Ferguson clearly has to go - any fool can see that. Who to replace him is, to me, the big question. Oh, and Queiroz out too.

Now, I wouldn't mind someone like McLaren taking over (he was being groomed for the next manager when he was assistant here), and I wouldn't mind O'Neil if they go for him, but McLaren is my first choice personally.

And as for the discussion about Mourinho, he's good, yes, but his job is made a lot easier by the unlimited amount of money.
Why should he go? I agree about McLaren and Mourinho though, wouldn't mind the Jose being his successor.

Rio was absolutely outstanding yesterday, only 3 of the goals were his fault.
He's been a joke this season. I've been more impressed with Andy O'Brien than with him. Never in a million years should he be starting for England whenever they next play.

Yes sadly. Hoepfully his substitution with Wes Brown will give him a wake up call. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't start Man Utd's next game.

Yes a muc hneeded win for the Sky Blues?

For all your hopes and confidence (I know getting to the play-offs and anything better then last season) what has been the reason for Coventry's poor start to the season? Has their been any speculation about Micky Adams job?

A big result, Luton are 3rd, so to win 1-0 and deserve it is a good fillip for the boys.

A lot of the reason is the large number of away games because of the stadium problems.

As shown by winning the UEFA Cup and Champions League with Porto.
Well if it wasn't for the mug Howard he'd have been out in the 2nd round, and there's probably plenty of other lucky moments but I can't swear to it.

Is it wrong to be chuffed Chelski have lost?

I generally like to see English clubs do well in Europe (with the obvious exception of one), but Mourinho seems to be rapidly outgrowing his footwear. Yes, he's very, very good (and knows it) like a certain Brian Clough but at least OBE was humourous in his meglomania!

That game with Chelsea shows to me how rubbish football is these days. Here's a standard 2 minute spell: Dani falls over, Dani gets free kick. Dani falls over, Dani gets free kick. Dani falls over, Dani gets free kick. Dani falls over, Dani gets free kick. Dani falls over, Dani gets free kick. Dani falls over, Dani gets free kick.

The fact that he's been shocking this season doesn't override the fact that he was still the best defender at the last World Cup by a country mile, and vice versa. He is a defender who had a period of about two years where he was one of the best in the world, since when he has become arrogant, lost his focus, stopped caring about the teams he plays for and somehow unlearned how to concentrate. That's about the size of it.

Personally I don't think he was the best defender in the England team at that World Cup.
Well for what it's worth I had Campbell in second place. Rio's display against Argentina was probably the second best defensive performance I've ever seen (after Carragher at Anfield against Chelsea in the CL last year) and that's what sticks in my mind most from the tournament, which probably explains me saying what I just did.

I'd still take Sol over Rio any day of the week, though. Although having said that, I'd take Terry over either of them.

Yep, that's the point. When I watch England all Owen ever does is score tap-ins or fall over and appeal like he's playing cricket or something.

Bad equilibrium, much? xD Sounds a bit to me like Cristiano Ronaldo. I don't know why, but it seems to me like he falls over WAY TOO MUCH.

to be honest apart from the fact that hes become massively more arrogant i dont think anything has changed, he was made to look better than he is by the players he had around him.

indeed so, i would do the same, i would also take a fully fit and in form woodgate over either of them as well, and pair him up with terry.
