Hildreth in epic form so far this season, 561 @ 70 in FC with 3 tons and two fifties and 270 @ 135 in OD's with 1 ton and two fifties.
Indeed, Brian Rose was saying that he's been working on some technical faults over the winter, and it's really paying off:)

Hildy for England:cool:

Drivel. Bopara wasn't picked because of the County he plays for, it's because he had 2 very good FC seasons, averaging 60 and 54 in '06 and '07. Averaged 59 in '09 too. He's been picked because he's scored heaps of runs, not because he plays for a certain County. Before this year, Hildreth had only had 1 genuinely good season (I don't count '09, as bar his 303* on an absolute road early season he only managed 631 runs at 31.55). That's why he hasn't been picked ahead of Ravi, it's not because he plays for Somerset.

Stokes 41* off 30 ATM. Not been a bad start to his FC career.

We'll agree to differ KP.Shedloads of runs in crappy Div 2 for a fashionable county count more in the selectors eyes.

I see Tino is his usual wayward self.8-)

I guess we will. I don't see how Ravi scoring heaps more runs than Hildreth and therefore being selected has anything to do with what Counties they play for. Ravi scored way more runs, simple as.

He may have scored more runs but they were in Div 2 which is pants.

We'll see how he goes this season in Div 1 if he ever gets to play a match.

Hope not.I see he has a British passport anyway according to cricinfo.Well done to him on getting a ton so early in his career but if he is going to be an international player i hope it is with West Indies.

Nice one Adil, needed that wicket before tea.49-1 and our pace attack looks toothless without Bresnan and Shahzad.

Lumb gets a duck,another for Adil.49-2

Lumb proving that no matter how many international trophies he may win that he is still **** in the county championship.

Could be worse Pothas, you could have lost by an innings inside 2 days at home to Kent like Durham have.

Be good if they get done for the pitch now too.

He is having a good season with the bat considering he is a bit of a bunny.Going to have to play bloody well to get back in the game from this position.

Saj gets his 4th 50 of the season.Only had 3 in his career before this season.Fair play to him.

He is from Anguilla which is a British protectorate, hence the British passport and why he can choose England or West Indies without qualifying.

James Taylor with an opportunity to put his poor form behind him. 19* as Leicestershire are 45/5 in their second innings, effectively 170/5 though.
Hopefully he can bat them into a strong position.

Leicestershire making a pigs ear of it after getting themselves in a winning position.125 lead on first innings and are 45-5 in the 2nd.

Hopes rely on Taylor tomorrow who is 19* overnight but he has been in dreadful form so they won't be banking on him coming good.

Hampshire close on 162-3 so game evenly poised though a draw looks favourite due to both attacks being so weak.

A couple of weeks ago I had high hopes that Sussex would be playing against Durham in the championship next year. Looks like my hopes will be fulfilled, but in Div 2 unfortunately :(

Would not put it past us collapsing tomorow but we do seemed to have turned a corner, Mckenzie certainly is now doing what was expected at the start of the season.

We did really well to beat Notts without so many bowlers but would not be all that displeased with a draw. Certianly need Kabir back soon and Simon Jones would be a great bonus.

Just wish our spin bowler was not playing for Warwickshire.
