Not in OD they wouldn't, especially not if Flintoff is available.

Warwickshire have made some very strange calls in the One Day line-up of late.

Carter always opening the batting tends to mean we have specialist batsmen batting 8, and then the specialist batsman is given lots of overs when he's not necessarily the answer.

It worked yesterday (as did the bizarre notion of Ian Bell bowling 1st change, and Carter being used as 6th bowler!) but I would worry about it against a stronger line-up.
well i wasn't tat aware that warwickshire makes does selections with their ODI outfit, so in that case Lanchashire have a good chance to reach the semi-finals no matter what QF they are grouped

we've got Sussex/Notts in hte QF, at home so i fancy our chances, i hadn't seen the draw when i said that so i thought we might get yorkshi*te.

Anyway good to see Freddie asked to play at Somerset, and England let him!
might be the last time we have Freddie before he goes into full ENG duty, next time i'll see him here is either on day 1, 4 or 5 of the Old Trafford test.

hahaha yorksh*te, not a yorkshire not a big fan eh dave

good to see it looks like Oli Newby will be getting a run out for Notts, must admit i didn't know we'd loaned him to them. A lot of Lancs fans think he should be ahead of Mahmood and Hogg in the pecking order and he did well preseason, now he'll be playing in the first division :p

We've signed Marcus North to replace Hodge when he's on Aussie duty, seems a like for like replacement. from what i hear he's married some English girl he met in Durham when he was there!

Seems like the more talentless the opposition player is the better they do against Durham at the moment.
that might say something about Durham :p

To let those two absolute muppets add 75 and also get the best 2 scores of the innings is just absolutely ridiculous. They'll probably let Kruis have two/three wickets now when they go out to bat shortly.

To be fair, it was only Lewis, Plunkett, Davies, Collingwood and Breese bowling. Muppets facing muppets

They're playing Yorkshi*e, I have a right to get p***ed off when they're playing the nearest rivals, especially when the Scrabble club I attend (it's in Middlesbrough) is full of Yorkies as will be the tournament in Shipley on Sunday and my dad is from Yorkshire as well.

Pietersen going well again.

Interesting looking at the averages in the Times this morning how few non england players were at the top compared to previous seasons

One thing im not too sure about Pietersen, when he scores big it always seems to be at a fast rate. Just occasionally id like him to grind out 100 from say 200-250 balls.
