Saj Mahmood's contribution of 5 - 0 - 22 - 0 in the match with 20 runs from the bat seems a little underwhelming. Salisbury's return of 5 - 0 - 33 - 0 also looking a little unnecessary. Methinks someone misread the pitch when you have Panesar bowling 67, Smith bowling 21 and Westley bowling 12.

Mind you, Ryder's managed to contribute 28 overs. A bit bizarre.

Nah it's a standard Foster tactic these days-play Saj on a turner so we don't actually have to use him, happened in his only other appearance this season against Hampshire at Colchester. Didn't even bowl in the second innings. Would like to have seen Craddock given a go mind

Huge day in Division 1 today.

Looks like Warwickshire will beat Somerset, Northants have a chance of a win against Notts though you would still fancy Notts to win and Yorkshire have a chance of beating Sussex if they can get Wright out. Title race could look a little clearer by tonight.

As for down the bottom it would seem unlikely that Lancashire can force the win they need against Durham but you never can tell.

Apparently his last 2 innings for Lancs 2nds were 92 and 112 as well, some form.
