Fantastic effort by Durham obviously, but can't believe they let Kerrigan hit 14 off 17 when the rate went above 4 an over.

Jeez our batting is completely diabolical isn't it? Just imagine next year when Ashwell Prince isn't around. Tom Smith is going to win player of the year for us by a landslide.

Can't see them giving Hameed a chance any time soon, they don't really have a history of giving any of our young guys a go early. I saw Bumble saying on twitter he should be in the first team though. Think he still has a year to go at school.

Just imagine what would happen if Chapple packs it in at the end of the season.
I doubt there is any if about it. But then he is only playing FC cricket this year and his output has been down in that. The bowling hasn't really been the problem. A lot of Lancs fans aren't particular enamored with his captaincy either and would prefer an outside coach.

Gurney has bowled some real garbage today. Trott looks the same as he ever did. Gonna score a lot of runs in county cricket.

I hope he retires - he's been ok this season but clearly going backwards now - would be awful for such a great servant to go out as cannon fodder

Somerset and notts battling it out to see who can outchoke each other.
Warwickshire having a good go as well.

I guess Somerset can't top Durham's NRR now? Was worried about Warwicks v Notts being a rainout. But a tie could happen as well, but that'd only shaft Somerset if they scrape over the line.

I was at Hove tonight to watch Sussex v Glamorgan.

Dead game, small ground, flat track, granted - but four innings from Wright, Finch (effectively on debut), Rudolph and Goodwin were a privilege to watch.
