9 down now, 6 to Anderson, full bowling points to Lancashire and Sussex struggling to get their 3rd by reaching 300.

Joyce apparently said that the 89 runs he scored yesterday were the toughest he'd ever scored. The feeling in the Sussex camp, and among Sussex supporters, is that the Lanky bowling (Anderson and Chapple in particular) was quite outstanding yesterday.

One straw I'm desperately clinging onto is the slowness of the outfield.

Interesting to see Lancashire reject Andrew Miller playing for Warwickshire today, jeez their attack doesn't look particularly good does it?

Bresnan opening the bowling for Yorks and has very tidy figures at the time of writing. 8-2-11-2

Obviously an early season green seamer as Yorks have used 5 bowlers and Rashid isnt one of them.

Lanky's experiment with Tom Smith opening has failed. Out for a duck.

Doesn't suggest a great deal of faith in Chilton.

Why hasnt Franklin bowled for Gloucs this morning? Don't tell me he's injured again
Probably.

So Surrey are 62-6 against Derbyshire. Something that a few years ago I never would have thought I'd say. Wagg has five already.

Has managed a couple of wickets, after an excellent start Hampshire innings is now entering a crucial phase at 126-3 and 2 new batsman at the crease, a lot depends on North while there is pressure on Ervine with Lumb out the side and ready to take his spot.

TBF Chilton isn't an opener, he is a middle order player that has been forced to open because we've never had any openers(FWIW the same applies to Horton, always used to bat 3,4 for the seconds and batted middle when he first broke in to the side), and you can hardly say Smith's opening has 'failed' after one innings. (given in his 2 other innings opening this year he score 66 and an unbeaten hundred).

Fair enough. I probably got carried away with the fact that we'd taken a wicket, which I don't expect will be a particularly frequent occurrence this season.

Faf gone. Surprised he was batting at 4, given he's form in first class cricket and he bats 5 for the Titans.

Probably not, I wouldn't think so anyway. Hence the membership looks all the more appealing since i can dander in and out as i please. Problem is, i'll be in Belfast for most of the summer and the one ****ing game i most wanted to see is in ****ing Liverpool.
Why don't you come down for the Liverpool game, it's like an hour on the train (it's not even that), I'll meet up with you for it if you want

I still love Ervine but I really would like to punch him in the face right now, typical innings, 30 off 34 balls and then gets out. He is more anoying than Ian Bell playing for England. Need Pothas to do what he normally does now and get us to a competative total. Ricky Clark gifting us some nice runs, 5 overs for 41

He batted as low as 7 in Warwickshire's last county game. Rikki, could be set for unemployment come the end of the summer...
