I cant believe I missed that. 15 GBP for a CC days cricket. Is that right? Thats terrible.I've got a fair bit of time on my hands this summer, so I was looking at Lancashire's home Championship games. Can't believe that to see one day of first-class cricket, usually attended by one man and his dog, will set me back £15. £15! It would then cost me about that much again on the train to get there... disgrace. A fiver, covering everyone, would be much more suitable.
There was an excellent crowd there for a one-day game with Durham that I went to last season, while we were on a cricket tour. The weather certainly helped with the sun beating down, the crowd was in good voice and the stars from both sides came to the party (Chanderpaul, Trescothick, etc). An excellent day out! There's usually a pretty good crowd at Taunton and I'm expecting quite a few more people will go this season.
How do you pronounce "Toit"?South african batsmen jaques de toit has joined leicestershire.
Who's that? Cricinfo only comes up with a Jacques Du Toit. Who incidentally hasn’t played any first class cricket for three or more years.South african batsmen jaques de toit has joined leicestershire.
The guys South African so it should be pronounced 'toy'.How do you pronounce "Toit"?
Charl Langeveldt is apparently going to be the former international and the ‘rising star’ has been confirmed as South African, Dominic Telo. Telo has signed a two year contract and is looking to qualify for England after rejecting a contract by the Cape Cobras, stating financial reasons. BBC seems to believe his a Kolpak but from what I can gather Telo holds a Portuguese passport.Derbyshire are apparently signing two Kolpaks. One is a former international and the other a 'rising' star.
And Gloucestershire will find out next week if Hamish Marshall can play for them.
