Hick just isnt human. To still have the drive and skill to score so heavily at his age...amazing. Id hate to think the mess Worcestershire would be in without him over the years. Talk about a void to fill when he finally does retire!

Did you catch the bit when Nasser Hussain said dead seriously that both Hick and Solanki should open internationally (limited overs cricket) for (paraphrasing) “we would know, what we would get”?
Silly reasoning indeed, but the fact that I'd actually back a Hick/Solanki combination to be more effective than the Wright/Cook one we're just about to endure is probably the most worrying thing of all.

Amazes me how he can't get into the Pakistani one day team, his head and shoulders better than the likes of Anjum or that new guy with no pace.

In regard to Stevens if he is out (for a while) can Kent recall Dexter from his loan at Essex?
I have no idea but I really hope so. There isn't much else in the way of backup - just a very out-of-form Matt Walker.

Well he's not needed with Stevo thankfully retaining his place. He might have a quiet day of it though if Keysey and Denly carry on for much longer :)

Edit: It always happens doesn't it? Two quick wickets.

It's getting tasty down at the Oval. No doubt about it.

82 wanted off 8.3 with two new batsmen in - don't give much for Surrey's chances here.

I would think that losing the first two games almost puts them out of the running, doesn't it?

They play ten games (each team twice) this year, so I don't think you're gone till you've lost four... and even then...

Worcs have a great batting line up but our bowling just wont hold up to the onslaught of 20:20 i fear :@ Lets hope we can actually do decent for once though.

It was Ok at times. I thought Kent would pass 200 after the start from their openers and then Kemp was going well: incidentally, one of his 6's was absolutely the biggest hit I have seen at the Oval. Surrey actually pulled them back quite well.

We looked like we might have a chance when Newman was going well, but no-one else did a thing, and it was very easy for Kent in the end.

My six-year old son came with me - his first ever cricket game, and my first taste of Twenty20. He enjoyed it more than I did itbt.

Good Twenty20 last night at Headingley, Vaughan looked a class above anyone else, some amazing shots for 6. We lost though, Adam Voges 6 in the last over.

New signing Abdul Razzaq about to break Surrey's duck - is that the end of Chris Lewis's comeback do you think?

They were certainly making heavy weather of chasing 141 until he came in.
