Steds he was not given a chance you can only do soo much if you dont get much of a chance to bowl espicialiy Leg Spin if you bowl 9 overs in a season what do you expect?
If he only got 9 overs in a season then his figures were (assuming he didn't bowl a maiden):

9-0-757-14
9-0-636-15
9-0-85-1

With economy rates like that it's not a shock he's been released.

Two pairs of English leggies playing today - Rashid and Lawson at Yorkshire, Schofield and Salisbury at Surrey. Only Rashid seems to have much of a chance of playing for England again though.
Two Yorkshire leg spinners did well today, Lawson taking six wickets and Adil Rashid chipping in with four. Very encouraging…

But look at the strike rates! Surely you'd prefer that to 9-9-0-0?!

The weather gods are smiling on Sussex today. No play at Blackpool (last day of that match) whereas Sussex have taken a 100-run lead at Hove.

Wow. Derbyshire are so hard up for players they've taken to raiding the local schools! Giving a 16 year old & an 18 year old their debuts!

Solanki is not a bad bolwer should bowl and play more in Englands one day side

Good to see Chris Schofield is back in County cricket, he was very badly treated by Lancashire i glad he has Fought back to the county game
He was a rubbish bowler, he couldn't handle not being good enough and threw all his teddies out of his cot and looked for a scapegoat, which he found with Lancashire CC.. I wish him every failure with Surrey.

Argh, Lancashire allways seem to be affected by the weather, if we don't win the CC this year i'm going to freak.

Can anyone tell me how Derbyshire are 4th in the second division? I've watched 2 of their one day games(40 overs admitedly) and they looked pathetic.

On a side note, Schofield has been playing in the liverpool comp for Ormskirk this year and averages 60 with the bat but his leg spin hasn't been very good at all even though the leauge is dominated by bowlers.

I’m sure Dave Houghton said on Sky recently that he is resting players for the four day games. Hence the reason why sixteen and eighteen year old kids are solely featuring in the one day games and not the first class games.

It was truly one-day cricket at its worst yesterday. From what I saw, the Gloucestershire lower order just slogged.

Hampshire are just damn good:dry:

If England had the hampshire bowling atack in the current match they might just have a chance of winning this match.

Sussex getting a crucial victory today over Kent although only just, largely thanks to Mushtaq. They have to be favourites now although they only got 2 batting points so Lancashire wil have a chance to go above them when they play next week. Id tip Sussex to win because Lancashire have to come to the rose bowl for their last game while Sussex have the easier task of Notts.

Very Good day for Hampshire today scoring over 400 with another century from Crawley. Pothas was eventualy dismissed after i think about 400 county championship runs unbeaten. Dhuram 9-2 should be win fairly comfortably

some poor batting form Lancashire tonight, letting Phillip get 5 wickets geez. On another note very impressed by Foster's innings & the seemingly ageless efforts from Andy Bichel.
