Ahhh. His conversion to the dark side is complete.

160 runs @ 40 and 13 wickets @ 23.69 in Surrey's second XI this year.

Schoey (as we Surreysiders have taken to calling him) bowled pretty well today. True, Lehmann had gone by the time he came on but the lower middle order showed him a lot of respect considering they wanted about 8 an over when he started his spell. It was only the number 9 Thornicroft taking him for 16 or so off one over that spoiled his figures. Wouldn't surprise me if he plays in the CC match on Wednesday.

Hampshire got an easy vicory today, Tremlett continuing his excellent recent form with another 4 wickets. I hope the England selectors who have just left him out have taken note.

Disappointing defeat for Lancashire, they deserved to win but Sussex were very good in drying up the runs. The race to the championship tittle will be very interesting.

Who cares, fact of the matter is when you pick poor cricketers you lose more games than you win.. I think its a bloody insult that they will spend millions upgrading the stadium, and still expect us to pay money to watch poor cricketers play very average club cricket..

Well, we did get Glamorgan to 70-5, but a steady partnership from Wallace and Franklin denied what wouldve been a spectacular comeback for us

Solanki is not a bad bolwer should bowl and play more in Englands one day side

Good to see Chris Schofield is back in County cricket, he was very badly treated by Lancashire i glad he has Fought back to the county game

He's a part time spinner at best - and his batting has time and again shown why he's not in the England side.

Paul wiseman has signed with durham to 2009,from what i understand he will not be an overseas player but conisdered a kolpak or UK or EU player. It will give durham another dimension and he can now start playing for durham,he has played 2nds for durham this year.

How was he badly treated? By all accounts he didn't work hard enough and didn't make sufficient progress. The Lancashire board were very patient with him when he wasn't doing much on the pitch and eventually decided to dump him. The only way you could back that statement up is that Warren Hegg didn't seem to like giving him the ball too much, but he had to back up the times when he did get the ball with good performances, and 14 @ 54.07 in 2001, 15 @ 42.40 in 2003 and 1 @ 85 in 2004 suggest a lack of sufficient performances.

Two pairs of English leggies playing today - Rashid and Lawson at Yorkshire, Schofield and Salisbury at Surrey. Only Rashid seems to have much of a chance of playing for England again though.

Lancashire currently 110-2 against Warwickshire, and should get a big score given that the Bears opened up with Tahir and Daggett, with Carter, Harris and Loudon for support.
