That was only because Caddick was bowling like a headless chicken.....I could say a lot worse but this is a family forum after all....Ga, they were crap :ranting:
A good few of the somerset batsmen could also carry some of the blame.

Caddy was terrible. Wes did alright though, and Big Cam White brought out the long handle for a bit - always looked 40 runs short though. :(

Simon Marshall coming back well from getting a bit of a tonking at the riverside on Friday. 39 & 4 wickets today, turning in to a pretty handy twenty20 player.

Must be a bit painful for Langer, just missing out on a ton again, this time getting out off the last ball of the innings on 97.

Haven't been to the county ground for a while now, its ironic that thousands of people turn up to the Chavball, yet I've just seen Sachin Tendulkar and Aravinda de Silva flay hundreds for Lashings, against an alright bowling attack on a sunny day, not to mention Chris Harris/Vasbert Drakes/Henry Olonga/Taibu/Hayward play.. And there were about 150 people watching.. A marketing man missing a trick somewhere?

Well they are often charity games organised often just for private parties or competitons.

Godleman impressive tonight - 41 off 25 including a reverse sweep off Andy Bichel (!!)

Most impressed with his footwork and ingenuity rather than any orthodoxy of timing or technique. Not bad for a little boy by any stretch...

inexplicable decision to bowl Mahmood for the last over just cost us the game, after we'd fought back from 22-5 to make 117 and then reduced them from 81-0 to 104-5 and left them 8 to win off the last over. Mahmood had 3-0-28-1 before the last over, why o why. TBH i think its a mistake to pick him in the side, why we sought dispensation for it i don't know.

The other 5 bowled 16 overs for 79 between them, Marshall 4-0-19-1 again impressive, but the campaign pretty much over now.

I know its just the varsity match, but it was quite interesting Oxford taking 16 wickets with leg-spin in the game.

Oh, and speaking of leg-break, does Godleman bowl much?

Don't think Billy bowls at all. As for Oxford and Cambridge - officially only 5th and 6th Universities at cricket at the moment anyway!

Looking at the scorecard how did Mahmood get the last over ahead of Cork who had bowled 3 overs for 10 runs? Crazy!

Oh, I just noticed he had LB in his profile, damn I was hoping for a leg-spinning all-rounder for England, I don't ask for much do I?

Next I'll get all fanciful and hope England can win an ODI.

Cork bowled the 19th so he couldn't have bowled the 20th.

Though Cork should have bowled 18,20 and Smith 19
