Derbyshire are absolutely on fire at the moment...
They certainly are - and while they continue to do well, I shall continue to enjoy it. Just to remind everyone, Chris Hinton reckons they should be thrown out of the league and made to play minor counties cricket.

Well, where are Derbyshire at the moment? Top.
Where are Worcestershire (Chris's team)? Bottom.

Price hung on in there for a while but the wagon rolls on. I'm glad I hopped on early and got the seats with the best leg room. My AFL team managed to win the pre-season, the first two games of the season proper before being installed premiership favourites and losing the next four, only breaking the sequence tonight. I'm just waiting for the wheels to fall off
A cats fan, eh?

This is getting boring. Another Derbyshire win. Promote them now. Enough matches with Surrey and Worcs minnows

Why?

You didn't want to weaken the Welsh attack still further, did you?
No I was hoping something miraculous would happen and that his bowling could almost turn good after playing County cricket. I think thats wishful thinking anyway. Andy Flowers still going pretty good, great to see.

Another win for Durham, Onions finishing with match figures of 27.3-3-138-8, very high strike rate and very high economy rate.

Did anybody tried the highlights on Surrey TV (link via cricinfo).

Completely one-sided. I watched Surrey vs Derby. The package for day one doesn't show any Derbyshire boundary, just edges, chances and wickets by Surrey (from an innings of 492). When Surrey bat, you're then treated with almost every run scored. For Surrey fans only !

Low strike rate, surely?

apparently Mick Lewis is having a bit of a shocker at Old Trafford.

Comms aren't holding back on him aswell, "Lewis is supposedly an international class bowler" "i don't care what class he is, even me and you could hit him round the park bowling like this" or the like

Benning going berserk against Ireland, 46* off 25 balls as opener in a (probably slightly rain reduced) 50 over game - rain stopped play tho, mind even Butcher has 23* off 18. Will have to have a look at the Surrey TV highlights to see what he's like.

In Australian news, Hodge and Thornely have both brought up fifties, while Cricinfo seems to be stuck with Birt on 48* for Derbyshire.

Listening to it at the moment - apparently the commentators are suggesting that he was sawn off by the umpire.

Derbyshire currently 200-8 with 4 overs to go - the wicket taking an alarming amount of spin so that may not be as bad as it seems.

Go to the BBC website - they've got radio commentary on most of the C&G matches today.

Good effort by Lancs with 307-5, tons for Loye and Hodge. Durham have started very well though, pitch is a belter.

The comms on Radio Lancs meanwhile just need a belting
