Incidently when was the last time Warwickshire tasted glory?
Warwickshire last won the Championship in 1995 in our double winning season, also winning the Natwest Trophy (known now was the C&G). Since that double winning season we have never won either trophies although we got to the final of the C&G in 2001 or 2000...can't remember which. In 1997, we won the AXA One-Day League and in 2002 we won the last ever B+H Cup.

Flight is better then Flat
Not always.

How many times?

If there is nothing in the pitch for a spinner, flight will just mean lots of quick runs.

Also, in One Day Cricket, flat is very useful.

Chris once met Terry Jenner and his brother bowls leg spin.

He worships at the feet of Jenner, and doesn't take into account pitch conditions or quality of bowler when reciting the gospel according to Jenner.

He is also a Worcestershire fan, and has made disparaging comments about Warwickshire and their players (except for some reason Dougie Brown)

Also, for good measure he really likes Kadeer Ali and is a Baggies fan, so as you can see he doesn't get much joy in his life ;)

Note Chris that this is all a joke, I admire the way you stick up for your team, even if most of the time you're wrong!

You do know that the perfect comeback is that WBA are in the Premiership and the Sky Blues are in the Championship.

But then your response would probably be that Coventry where in the EPL before WBA got promoted a couple of seasons ago.

No my response will be "What good is it being in the Premier when you're just going to bounce straight back down again?"

Going a bit off topic there...

Incidently, did anyone see any of the U19s Test Match? Was it on Sky or not...I remember last year a couple were...

They are on sometime in August.

I wonder how the odds for the Twenty20 might change now that Flintoff has been cleared to play on finals day..
But then Anderson is playing so the odds will balance up still

He's available, not necessarily playing, although i'm sure he will play and destroy the opposition

Here's a poll from the twenty20 website

Who do you think will win the 2004 Twenty 20 Cup Finals day at Edgbaston?
Lightning 33%
Lions 10%
Foxes 26%
Dragons 30%

Surrey, Glamorgan 2-1
Lancashire 5-2
Leicestershire 5-1

Back Lancashire AND Surrey with equal stakes, and IMO you won't be out of pocket come 11pm on Saturday.

Before the quarters, I was tempted to buy 2 tickets for my mate and I, but £35 for poor seats didn't appeal to me.

After the quarters, he decided he thought we should go, but by then it was too late.

Oh well, at least we'll be at Old Trafford on Thursday week!

I got the cheapest tickets I've ever heard of (unless you get them for free of course!) for a Test match (O.T. same day) for £3...through some "schools scheme". Even though I'm 17...so me and a mate get to go to see England smash the Windies for a combined total of £6 plus travel expenses...decent value for money. We just need the weather to be good now!
