I'll take your word for it ;). Something must have changed to score the amount he has.

He must have spoken to Shane Warne while the pair where playing in a pre season game at Canterbury, Warney must have given, opps la la la la la la la :whistling

Being serious (i know scary stuff) I read Key made a tiny tiny change in his techinque and it has made all the difference.

Now if he had just done that a year ago when he couldn't buy a run he might have still been in the England set up! But in a interview Key said that he has tasted the big time and wants to be back there, and feels that he now understands the step up and will be alot better equiped to handle it, lets hope so :)

Good on him, i won't moan if a man averaging Bradman figures gets in the setup, even though i haven't seen any of his batting. All i can remember is ashes '03 when he kept getting set, then getting out (to the likes of Steve Waugh) which didn't reflect well. Do you think he'll be fighting for a middle order slot or opening?

If he was given the choice he would def' want the opening slot, but unless Vaughan makes an impact @ 4 then it's going to make life hard as he will take the opening slot back if he fails I would guess.

But I think Key is one of those players that would just love to be in the side wherever and then once he has impressed demand the openers slot :D

Brad Hogg out.

His contribution to Warwickshire this season makes me wonder what he's been picked as:

356 runs @ 89.00
3 wickets @ 113.66

And you must be pretty happy about Nick Knight getting 303*.

No, I was really really unhappy, and when we got past 600 I considered shooting myself.
Your sarcasm is prolly lost on Australians :p

On a side note Worcs finally finding their feet in Div1, we'd be right up near top if we hadnt let Kent chase 400+ 4th innings in our first game.

Still not as good as the Bears - we also seem to have a rotating ball policy whereby Knight can chuck it to almost any of our top or middle order (Wagh, Bell, Trott, Troughton) and they outperform our International bowlers!

Bell in particular is most bizarre - 4-1-4-4 yesterday!

Yep i had noticed that, Bell really is becoming the good medium pacer now, if he keeps up his form with both bat and ball he has to be in contention for a Test place b4 too long, certainly a one day place as he's bowling is far better than collingwoods.
Also Wagh seems to becoming a good spinner there :)

Not so sure about Wagh - he's getting the odd wicket, but still going at 40 a time.

That said, he seems to be improving all the time (and can now be trusted to bowl crucial spells in the later stages of One Day Games)

Marc what is Bell's actual style of bowling, Does he literally just run in and bowl a line and a lenght and the batsman think it's easy runs? or does he get some swing/seam movement a bit like Mark Ealham for example, or is it a bit more Butcher/Trescothick.
